Time for a prediction thread on the vote. Place yer bets!

I’m more optimistic than I was a week or two ago. I’m calling it 52 votes in favor of Kavanaugh.

What’s your prediction?

I agree with 52. Lose one pubbie, pick up two Dems since the GOP would have the tie-breaker at 50.

I think slightly higher, once it starts going red state RATS will vote to confirm, in an attempt to save their careers.

53 yes.

Maybe 54.

Some Satan-worshipping senators are getting desperate.

54-46 - GOP all stays together, Manchin, Donnelly, and Heitkamp all say Yea.

Based on what the three sisters are saying, it appears they’re (surprisingly) leaning toward confirming. I would suspect Manchin will jump in as well, making it 52-48.

Yes, Schumer will give them the OK to vote “yea” and save their seats.

Actually depends on if they vote alphabetically.

If they do, Manchin will vote after Flake and Collins, but before Murkowski. Same with people like Tester, but Joe Donnelly and Heidi Heidkamp will vote before Murkowski.

If Flake or Collins vote no, I think you might see Manchin, Heidkamp voting no too.

If Flake and Collins vote yes, I think you’ll see all of them voting yes, including Murkowski.

My prediction then is, IF FLAKE AND COLLINS VOTE YES, the final tally will be 54 votes yes. If Flake or Collins vote no, then the democrats will hold their vote until Murkowski. If she votes yes, Judge is in and I say 54 votes. If she votes no, he’s out, and there will be no democrats voting yes.

NO DEMOCRAT WILL PUT KAVANAUGH OVER THE TOP. I WOULD SUSPECT THAT IT WILL HELP MANCHIN IF THEY VOTE YES, AND HE PROBABLY TOLD THEM THAT.

Won’t save Heitkamp - I think she’s DOA. I think Manchin also loses. Donnelly may survive (shouldn’t in Indiana, but his challenger is running a lame campaign.)

55/56

Okay, 56.

Regardless, we need to FINISH THE JOB—VOTE NOVEMBER 6TH.

I predict bomb threats and such, to prevent the vote.

This thing, for me, has been a tale of two movies. Mr Smith Goes to Washington and The Majestic. The former for the dirty tricks used to destroy an innocent man and the latter for the innocent man finally reaching his tipping point and letting the committee have it right between the eyes.

In both cases, the innocent man wins, but in the former it is because the bad guys repent in the end. I don’t really expect DiFi, Kamala, et-al to come clean in this lifetime.
