Lonely millennials, you are not alone!
A new survey found that over half of Americans between the ages of 18 and 34 do not have a romantic partner.
In spite of the recent rise of dating apps, more young people than ever remain single, according to data released by the General Social Survey from researchers at the University of Chicago.

“between the ages of 18 and 34 do not have a romantic partner.”
that’s sad LOL . Even Bernie Sanders came out of his mom’s basement at age 42, oh wait..
I think the writer missed the point of what is happening. It's not in spite of those apps, it's because of them.
There is a contingent here on Free Republic, who advise men against getting married, in this day and age, what with divorce court stacked against the man, and other factors.
Many of that age group love themselves more than anyone else, so they will be happy, at least until they are old.
Rosie Palm and her five sisters never say no.

I would definitely date a woman if I could figure out which are women and which are men playing dress up as women.
In my retirement community neighborhood, about that half the homes are single occupant. It ain’t just the young ‘uns.
Well, my advice is to become a part of an insular religious community. The Amish, etc are not having any problems with their young people getting married.
They are using the dating apps to hook up. They dont believe in the concept of family, marriage, or anything traditional, so why date in the first place? Life is all about getting your rocks off and posting photos on Instagram.
Better half and I were both single when we met and the music started almost immediately
Working with young people everyday men are NOT in anyway the way they used to be when I was young, I find them VERY IMMATURE!!! Women are not much better however women would like to be in a committed relationship much more than men!! When I was growing up BOTH men and women were looking for commitment and both were VERY OPEN to marriage and family!! I cant figure out WHY things have changed this drastically but they have!! I live in CA. I hope things are different in the middle of the country!!!
The Left has done all it can to destroy the institution of marriage and the family unit as well.
Pretty well succeeded.
Yep too many options and too much superficiality are never good!
Ask a woman out; get brought up on charges of sexual assault... and that’s before the date even starts.
Why bother?
Two reasons for this: economic and leftist bias against men.
Marriage, family, responsibility? That is so...yesterday!
Anything that the white patriarchy had in years gone by is radioactive today.
Well, those rings conveniently slip off, anyway.
They have there I-Phones and porn so they don’t have to speak.
A guy at our church wrote a book, I think it was called “The Facebook Generation”. He compiled all of the research and came to the conclusion that it is the internet.
Back when Jesus was born (Mary was 14 years old??) - people lived in their own tribe, and by the age of 12 or whatever were “grown up” and knew who they were and what their values were. It was the tribe's or clan's values.
As the years went by the age of adult-hood increased as people were exposed to more and more “value systems” and spent more time trying to “figure out who they are”. In the 50’s it was the age of 18 or something.
When he first wrote the book (6 years ago??) he said that men were about 27 when they left “adolesence”. He wanted to redo part of the book, and ended up doing more research a couple of years ago. He was amazed - but the age of adolesence for men was up to 31 or something!
