Joe Biden pledged to be a leader for all Americans in his inaugural address Wednesday as the 46th president of the United States, calling for unity and an end to the “uncivil war” that’s brewed over the last four years. But can he actually pull it off?

No. Unity presupposes a reasonable social consensus based on commonly held values. There is no such consensus in 2021 America. That concensus began to erode in the 1960s and now no longer exists. Biden will preach “unity” but as already noted, he will practice coercion.

That would be more than the bloviating Trump ever did. Indeed Trump actually led his people into the action, and then ran to the White House, disowned his supporters, and left them to the wolves.
Instead of doing anything for his supporters he pardoned criminal blacks, financial fraudsters, and foreign spies. A blanket pardon would mean Biden had done more for the Trump fans in his first days then Trump did in four years.
The best we can hope for is that the Trumpian nationalist, populist movement gets the leader they deserve (Trump did not deserve his great supporters).

The only way he could get the support of conservatives is if he started putting America first. And then he’d lose the support of liberals.
Joe Biden could have taken a first step towards unity yesterday by condemning the second fake impeachment of President Trump. He didn't. That tells you all you need to know about his real goals. "Unity" is just another fake Democrat talking point.
Watch what they do, not what they say.

Did Trump’s lawyers even attempt to present fraud in court? I don’t think they even tried. They went with improper changes to voting procedures etc.
He doesn’t even know where he is half the time, so I’d say doubtful.
Nobody can.
Half the country loves America, the other half hates it and wants it to fall. I don’t see unity until the good guys crush the bad guys.

President Trump had America on the right track. So,he had to be stopped.
