When my husband has covid last November, and it was apparent it was turning into more into pneumonia and Kaiser wouldn’t help him unless he went to the hospital, we used a combo of doxycycline, a few other things to heal him. He had an immediate turn around within 1 day.

The chemical compound on which molnupiravir is based—C9H13N3O6, or N4-hydroxycytidine—has been known for decades. Like idoxuridine, the herpes drug, it’s a nucleoside analogue. It interferes in replication, preventing a threat from causing severe infection. Molnupiravir doesn’t stop the virus from replicating, though; instead, the drug introduces errors into the virus’s RNA that are then replicated until it’s defunct.
With antivirals such as this, “basically you’re going to put a piece of sand in the gears and hope it stops the impact of the virus,” says Gomez, the former Niaid scientist. But, he adds, stopping the virus by creating errors in the genetic code or through other means can come with unintended consequences. “You don’t know where the sand might end up in the other parts of the body.”

I haven't seen that mentioned before and Ivermectin has over 40 years of mass usage. I would guess he is hinting at sticking with the safe and effective vaccines. There is propaganda hiding behind every bush these days.
I have no intention of being their human Guinea pig.
I have doubts the Merck will see any of that money they visualize. Higher forces of evil controls them, too. I am just amazed they don’t realize that yet. jmo
Since you a) clearly know what you’re talking about, and b) are an esteemed member of the justly famous Freeper class of ‘98...any thoughts on the chemical/physiological similarity of this new drug with ivermectin?

And DuPont saved the world with R134 when their patent on R12 ran out. I remember cans of R12 for pennies. Merk has been the biggest opponent of ivermectin in the developed world, The third world hands out hcq and ivermectin like candy. Move along. Nothing to see.
You are absolutely correct! I just researched it at many reputable sites. Stromectol is just another BRAND NAME for Ivermectin. It's like the brand name Bayer for pure aspirin.
As above, this new wonder drug from Merck, contains their out of patent Ivermectin, Doxycicline (sp)anti-biotic, Zinc, and Vitamin D3.
What the hell is going on? The entire world is being scammed. Pfizer and Moderna are now pushing their booster shots that could go on forever as this virus mutates.
Now we have a new therapeutic by Merck that is the same as a Z-Pack that has been use in certain States in India and practically eradicated their Covid problem.
Makes me glad I got some genuine Ivermectin from suppliers in India.
I don’t trust Merck or any Big Pharma. They are all money grubbing profiteers and leeches.
Ivermectin, or Stromectol, it’s drug name, is also available as a paste meant to kill internal parasites in horses. Dosage is based on your weight, follow it carefully. I have been taking horse paste once a week for eleven weeks with no problems. YMMV. The paste is available at horse supply stores like Tractor Supply and Amazon. Price has gone up with folks discovering this method of taking Ivermectin.
Hello fellow ‘98 Freeper classmate.
I have no clue. I will wait to dissect the ingredients listed on the package insert of this product when it is FDA approved and it hits the market.
I will then wait for all guinea pigs reactions to it as well.
I don’t trust the FDA or our government to be honest or be looking out for us at this point.
