The Real Backdrop Nobody Will Discuss

The only way to avoid World War III is to listen to both sides. The refusal to listen ensures that we will move into World War III, and this is not my opinion; unfortunately, our computer has never been wrong, for it is unbiased. It called BREXIT when nobody else did, and also forecast that Trump would win in 2016 when everyone thought that was impossible.

This time if our computer could hide under the covers in bed going into 2023, it would. We have the most incompetent crop of world leaders perhaps in human history, and the press is so anti-Putin that they are fueling hatred of all Russians which is vital to justify war. Not a single person will listen to both sides, and the people are being played as fools just as they were with COVID.

Putin’s speech has a lot of truth, for no dispute is ever just one-sided. The West has constantly moved eastward to the very borders of Russia. When Russia attempted to do the same to the USA by putting missiles in Cuba, we reached the brink of war, and only then did the world hold its breath and finally blinked. That crisis was avoided only because of a Russian who disagreed with his country’s propaganda, and risked his life and that of his family to save the world, for which he was punished. (see the Courier).

Continued . . .

However, it certainly appears that world leaders are deliberately pushing us into World War III. In Slovakia, it’s now a crime to express any “acceptance of support” of the Russian actions or of their leaders, and special police commandos are hunting down people who do so in public offline or online. The punishment is 10-25 years in prison or up to a maximum of life. The Czech Republic is adopting the same law, but the punishment will be 1 to 3 years in prison. This is obviously inviting war, for this is ending any discussion or negotiation.

Putin is in power BECAUSE of the antics of the New York Bankers with the support of the Clintons. Are we in a grudge match against one man that the West has blamed for even putting Trump in office and now that justifies World War III? This is the backdrop that everyone should know before they send their boys off to die.

I had this very conversation over on Twitter yesterday.

This guy asserted that NATO had constantly moved East towards Russia.

My question to the other guy was "Did the West constantly move Eastward, or did the former Soviet Satellite states move West?"

It’s hard straddling the middle position as it is so easy for me to blow off all the warmongering crap from the John Boltons of the world. I’m not sure how I should regard the Ukraine. I use to sympathize with them, and then they took bribes from the Bidens and co-authored a fake pee gate report on Trump. But on the other side of this once the Ukraine falls, then goes Poland. Saying that we are seeing the huge cost to the Russians of making this play. I don’t know they can afford to keep in the Ukraine, let alone Poland.

Watch for some kind of Russian state of emergency to be announced for the populace...if so that will be a bad sign.

IMO, if some sort of civil defense type drills are called in Russia that would order the people to enter the public fallout shelters that would be worrisome. A perfect time to do something stupid... with people in the shelters.

I read somewhere long ago that Russia has extensive public shelters...no idea if that is so.

*****

I heard that, too, recently. It was mentioned by Adam Curry on the No Agenda podcast, which is pretty good, if you haven’t checked it out. They are not MAGA, but they deconstruct the media lies pretty well.

I would not want to be a Russian soldier stationed in occupied Ukraine. I don’t think it’s going to be very pleasant.

We live in this clown world courtesy of the Bush League Republicans who would rather have Senile Joe than Trump, so they assisted with the steal.

Do you disagree with this line?

Because when you look at all the people involved; from Merkel and Macron, down to our own lovable Uncle Joe, it looks pretty bad. Not a one of them has the sense to get out of the rain.

I don’t know how much to credit to incompetence and how much to credit to malfeasance.

I was an American missionary in 2000 who spoke good Russian. I received a lot of dirty looks in Zhytomyr until they realized I was an American and then everyone was super friendly. As a Russian soldier, it would probably be like the days of the Nazi Werewolves.

Good point. Hard to tell incompetence from malfeasance sometimes. Although I really do think Uncle Joe suffers from a surfeit of both.

Poland will not be attacked by Russia. Poland is not a border state lying on the historical invasion routes into Russia’s heartland. If you look, all the dominos have been falling to NATO. The last two dominos left to fall are Ukraine and Belarus. Russia will fight WWIII to prevent NATO armor sitting directly in its border. The Baltic States are not nearly so provocative or destabilizing. Under similar circumstances, the US would have long ago stopped a similar encroachment of the most powerful alliance the world has ever seen. Especially if that alliance was as virulently anti American as NATO is anti Russian. Absolutely we would have gone to war. Look at our track record.

I too have read the same. They supposedly have shelters for most of their population. And you are right, if something is to be done it is when the people are already in the shelters.

A personal shelter one could buy here in the states would be fine, but you would have to stay close by at all times. There is only about a 30-40 minute time window to get inside and close the doors after sirens sound.

Ok go in a shelter. And then come out to what?

Better to go sit on the roof with a bottle of whiskey.
