Legendary Dodgers announcer Vin Scully died Tuesday night. He was 94.
"We have lost an icon," said Dodger President and CEO Stan Kasten. "The Dodgers' Vin Scully was one of the greatest voices in all of sports. He was a giant of a man, not only a broadcaster, but he was a humanitarian. He loved people. He loved life. He loved baseball and the Dodgers."

Great football announcer, as well, called “The Catch”.
Just sucks absolutely adored this man god speed vinnie you will be missed rip
RIP good man!
One of the greats. They don’t make ‘em like Vin, anymore.
Rest in Peace Vinnie.
Sad news, I remember listening to Vin Scully broadcast Dodger games as a boy on my little transistor radio in the early 1960s. Absolutely the best sports announcer of all time.
Another legend passes. RIP.
I do, too. I had a tiny radio shaped like a satellite that could get only two stations--KFI and KRLA, whose 50,000-watt transmitters were only a few miles away. KFI carried the Dodgers, and I listened to Vin Scully announce their games every night.
The greatest ever. Since his wife passed, he had waited for his daughters to visit him every day. They always did. He lasted six years after retirement. Rest in piece, Vin.
“This is Vin Scully for Jerry Doggett wishing you all a very pleasant good evening.”
Great voice. So smooth.
Liked him in “For Love of the Game”.
Truly the GOAT. I would put Ernie Harwell a close second.
Vin you will be missed by your family, friends, & fans as you journey to the others side.
Go Dodgers.
Vin Scully was likely the first voice I ever heard coming from a radio.
man....this is a biggie....i thought he was the greatest...”HERE COMES KNIGHT AND THE MET’S WIN IT!!”...
He made baseball come alive on the radio. Such a distinctive voice.
Growing up as a Yankee fan, I detested everything Dodger blue except for Vin Scully (and if he wasn’t pitching against my team, Sandy Koufax). Scully was a class act. No one could announce a game like him.
Vin was the very best...
