Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Kofman appears to be wrong, based on reports coming out of Russia today.

A base is being built for Wagner fighters in Belarus. The first construction includes barracks for 8,000 troops.

Things are back to normal at Wagner’s base at Molkino. Wagner is not being disarmed, they still have all the equipment they had on their “march for justice” to Moscow.

There are claims an investigation for corruption has been started against Shoigu. Perhaps there will be a decent interval and then Shoigu and Gerasimov will be replaced. If they are replaced by Wagner allies like Dyumin and Surovikin then Prigozhin will have achieved what he claimed was his aim all along, which was not a coup but merely the ousting of Shoigu and Gerasimov.

It looks like Wagner’s new role will be as a palace guard for Lukashenko in Belarus.

There are free Belarus regiments forming in Ukraine planning to liberate Belarus from the dictator Lukashenko. The Belarus military itself is unreliable and rumors are that units who were ordered to join the invasion of Ukraine refused and were willing to stand on the border but go no further.

Wagner’s role will be to defend Lukashenko from any uprising or coup attempt until he dies or is no longer needed by the Kremlin. Then the Kremlin will terminate independent government in Minsk and convert Belarus into provinces of Russia.

This is a similar role for the new base in Belarus housing Russian tactical nukes. The Russian nukes are intended to deter Poland from helping liberate Belarus and the Russian forces guarding the nukes will be available together with Wagner to defeat any forces attempting to free Belarus from Lukashenko whether from outside from the Belarus liberation regiments or inside from a coup from the Belarus army or security forces.

If Prigozhin and Wagner play a key role in ending Belarusian independence and adding the territory of Belarus to Russia, then Prigozhin will become even more popular in Russia and will be positioned as the eventual successor to Putin.

[ Unique Chance | Ukrainians Seize a Great Opportunity Brought by Wagner Mutiny ]

••Day 487: Jun 25

The unexpectedly rapid and peaceful reconciliation of the conflict between the Russian Ministry of Defense and the private military company the Wagner Group, especially as there is no confirmation that Prigozhin’s demands were met, left many people very suspicious.

Some analysts started building theories as to how such a large-scale act could be used to achieve strategic objectives and concluded that this would be a great opportunity to redeploy forces to the Kharkiv region and take the city into a pocket, as the returning from Moscow Wagner forces were very close to the Belgorod region.

It is reasonable to some extent to consider such a possibility because both sides are monitoring each other’s movement of troops very tightly, and the only way to show up somewhere unexpectedly is by tricking the other party into thinking that they don’t need to care about it.

However, firstly, it’s not like all of the Wagners were heading north - most troops were occupying Rostov and military objects nearby. So, the Wagner forces got dispersed.

Secondly, there is not much of Wagners left anyways.

According to Prigozhin, he had 85 thousand troops to take Bakhmut, and it took him more than 8 months and mind-boggling losses to take it.

The Kharkiv front is 10 times bigger, Kharkiv itself is 10 times bigger, and Ukrainians have 10s of 1,000s of soldiers in the region.

So, even if all Wagner units suddenly redeployed here, the prospect of a quick victory would be virtually non-existent.

Besides, Russian forces had already tried to take Kharkiv with more troops and under much better conditions, and it ended up in a disaster.

Lastly, Wagner forces were initially in Luhansk, so making a several-day detour towards Moscow is less productive.

And this is where other analysts concluded that, in reality, Wagner forces are redeploying to Belarus to attack Kyiv or Lviv. On the surface, this also ties in nicely with the fact that the President of Belarus, Lukashenko, got involved and eventually offered shelter to Prigozhin.

However, all previous points remain relevant counterarguments here as well: dispersing troops by occupying Rostov would be counterproductive, the front line is 30 times bigger, Ukrainians have 10s of 1,000s of soldiers on guard, Russians already tried anyways, and here there are also dense forests, which prove to be an extremely hard barrier.

On top of that, during the mutiny, Russian forces lost 7 aircraft and 15 pilots.

Half of them are extraordinarily valuable.

And this is not taking into account the blown-up Wagner convoys and violent engagements with the regular Russian forces that were caught on camera and shown in my previous video.

Nonetheless, one thing the Wagner mutiny actually achieved was completely cutting off supplies of the eastern Russian Group of forces for at least two days and confusing the soldiers on the ground, of which Ukrainians successfully took advantage.

Ukrainian fighters from the Bakhmut region reported that when Prigozhin posted a video and said that the regular Russian forces bombed Wagner camps and the Wagner forces were marching on Moscow, the Russian radio exchanges became completely wild.

Eventually, it caused a series of violent confrontations between the regular Russian formations and a few Wagner units that were still in Bakhmut to help.

First of all, Ukrainian fighters from the 24th Assault Brigade reported that Ukrainians finally breached the Russian defense in the tree line along the road and started storming the last remaining fortification on their way to Klishchiivka, namely, the infamous trench network on the hill.

Secondly, after clearing the tree line, Ukrainians could attack Russian positions in the forest from 2 sides, and by the end of the second day, the Ukrainian 5th Assault Brigade reportedly cleared up to 40% of the forest.

Lastly Ukrainians finally pushed Russians from the remaining positions west of the canal and some sources even claimed that the Ukrainians made a few attempts to establish control over Kurdiumivka and Ozarianivka.

Russian forces reportedly retreated to the western part of the village to create a buffer zone which at the moment remains a gray zone

However, the biggest news by far is that Ukrainian crossed the Dnipro River and established a bridgehead on the eastern bank near the Antonivskyi Bridge.

Geolocated footage confirms that Ukrainian boats have deployed Ukrainian forces to this region.

Russian forces tried to chase Ukrainians away with direct assault, however, they faced tough resistance.

Ukrainians posted footage of Ukrainian helicopters targeting Russian assault units.

Eventually, Russian sources reported that the units on the ground got almost encircled, which is why they decided to retreat.

Zelinski stated that the Wagner Mutiny created unique opportunities for the Ukrainians that
may lead to the biggest turning points in the history of this war.

“Putin is speaking. He thanks Russians for their restraint, unity, and patriotism. “Any blackmail and unrest is doomed to fail.””

“Putin says the uprising was “doomed to fail” and that “its organizers, even though they lost their sense of right and wrong, couldn’t have failed to realize that.”

BREAKING: Russia announces there will be a second part of Putin’s speech to the nation soon.

It seemed there was something missing from that speech. There was really no substance at all. Now being reported that Putin is meeting with Prosecutor General, Kremlin Chief of Staff, Interior Minister, Defense Minister, FSB Director, Head of the National Guard, FSO Head, and Head of the Investigative Committee. I wonder where Gerasimov is?

I guess tonight's speech will be the speech he was supposed to give earlier, but something changed before the speech. Putin looks really weak right now, so I guess we should expect something to make him appear strong. Lacking any real charisma at this point, Putin must demonstrate strength through action. Part 1 of the speech said he would bring the perpetrators of the mutiny to justice. Doesn't sound good for Prigozhin. Maybe he also throws Shoigu and/or Gerasimov under the bus to appease those Russians who were cheering the revolt.

but instead of Shoigu and Gerasimov, it will be...

Well, while Wagner was Russia's biggest and most well know PMC, Prig wasn't the only guy with such a private army. Shoigu has his own PMC, "PMC Patriot". Shoigu also has a new offshoot called PMC Storm-Z, made up of convicts that he formed by cutting off Wagner's access to prisoners and taking them himself. PMC Patriot and Storm-Z are positioned in the south. Sacking Shoigu could have repercussions there if not done with tact and consideration.

If Putin gets rid of ALL PMC's, that will be a good thing. They are a cancer. But they are integral to Russia's geopolitical influence as a proxy for military force. Russia isn't going to give them up without an alternative.
