My favorite is “Mother’s Little Helper”.
Other favorites of mine are: “Ruby Tuesday”, “Paint It Black”, “Get Off of My Cloud” and “Satisfaction”.
Lol... OMG it had to be you!!! I’m very disappointed in you!!! Hurl hurl hurl!!
Some Girls.
(At age 80, I bet he really doesn’t have that much jam)
You need a barf bag?
Paint it black is mine to.
He’s 80 years old and has lived a rock star lifestyle, he’s got to be considered a medical marvel.
Yes, same: Paint It, Black
And yes - there is a comma and it goes there. By special request of the group at issuance of the single.
Honorable mention to Waiting on a Friend. I actually have a signed copy of that Picture Sleeve by Mick and Charlie who I was lucky enough to stalk and meet in the 1990s.
“I have one question for you Jaggs, and you better answer it man, because you have besmirched the character of black women. So here is my question...”
“Where are these black broads, man? I mean where are they, baby? You got any phone numbers for me? Please!”
Gimme shelter.
‘People dressed in plastic bags ... kinda fashion ...’
Gimmie Shelter.
Intro can’t be beat.
I would go for that one too “Under my Thumb” - we had the old 45 as kids - reverse was “Have you Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing in the Shadow?” (also a great song).
I understand the Stones no longer play “Under My Thumb” in concert b/c reasons - someone, somewhere might get his/her feelings hurt or feel offended.
“The singer, who is a great-grandfather, has eight children in total.”

He’s been getting lots of ‘satisfaction’ since he wrote the song.
Though Exile on Main Street is far and away their greatest complete album.
I heard an interview with Keith Richards a while ago - he said when they were first getting started, their manager told them they’d gone as far as they were ever going to go b/c all they were doing was covers for other artists and needed their own, original material.
He put Keith and Mick in a room, closed the door and told them NOT to come out until they’d written a song.
“Ruby Tuesday” was the result - also had that on a 45...
That is close to my list too.
I’d add “Wild Horses.”
Can’t You Hear Me Knocking
Gimme Shelter
“Gimme Shelter”

The theme song to a very violent and intense period of my life.
Wild Horses
