Pot Calls Kettle "Black"

Those Democrats sure know how to get lippy, don't they?

President Bush's humorous references to the hunt for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq have drawn criticism from Democrats as inappropriate for wartime. The White House and Republicans contend the president was just poking fun at himself.

How ironic. Let's talk about what is "inappropriate for wartime," shall we? How about Sen. John Kerry's assertation that, "What we need now is not just a regime change in Saddam Hussein and Iraq, but we need a regime change in the United States"? You can feel however you want to about the war in Iraq, but implying that the President of the United States is a dictator is inappropriate. Was I supposed to get a chuckle out of it, or what?

Then there was Terry McAuliffe's reference to "George W. Bush and his band of thugs." Now, this implies that anyone who supports George W. Bush is a heartless war monger.

Let's go back to the wonderful John Kerry one more time. Wasn't he the guy who called the College Republicans "the most crooked bunch of liars on campus"?

Be it about war, or about a political party in general, Democrats are notorious for their inappropriate remarks.

As usual, the Democrats don't have any original ideas to offer the American public, so they have chosen to step on the President's toes once again.

Democratic presidential candidate Al Sharpton called the joke "one of the most despicable acts of a sitting president'' when he spoke Thursday night during a Democratic National Committee reception.

"Well, that's not a joke to us, Mr. Bush. Five hundred soldiers lost their lives, looking for weapons that weren't there. Billions of taxpayer dollars were spent looking for weapons that weren't there,'' Sharpton said. "But guess what? You gonna look out that window in January and see a moving van to send you back to Texas.''

Even if the WMD's never existed, we know the Iraqi's had a plan to develop them. They at least had a plan. If we hadn't stepped in and taken Hussein out of power, it was just a matter of time until they had the weapons needed to cause massive loss of life. You decide- 500 soldiers die in the line of fire to prevent such a catastrophy, or we wait until the catastrophy actually happens, and thousands upon thousands have died.

This is an easy concept. I don't understand why Democrats can't grasp this simple reality. Perhaps when the evolution train rolled by, they missed the option of trading in their bulging jaws for a bigger brain.

No, in Clinton's case I think he missed the option for either of those, choosing instead the larger wang... (did I just say that?)

Ah, the sad, bitter Democrats, disgusted that their cheating in the year 2000 didn't get them the White House again. One would think that the bloody shirt would be getting rather smelly by now.

Please everyone remember that this is the same party that lost China, got us into Vietnam, and then lost that too. They're not exactly in the position to be claiming that Bush is doing a lousy job.
