Does anyone here remember Chicken McNuggets Shanghai? Wacky Pack stickers? Body Buddies Cereal? Star Studio home recorders? Eight track players? Pizza actually made by Italians instead of Pakistanis and Mexicans?

Chicken McNuggets Shanghai? No, never heard of that one.

But I definitely know about a real Italian pizza made in a real Italian pizzeria. Pizza Margherita, baby!

Tim Thomerson has always been an underrated Character Actor.

Do you remember he started out as a stand-up comic... and a fine one at that...

I remember Tim doing Stand-Up. Kind of a west coast version of Mort Sahl. I think that also helped enormously with his timing later on in television and film.

One of my favorite Tim Thomerson roles (besides Jack Deth) was as an old "Rice Paddy Daddy" and buddy of Sgt. Zack in an episode of CBS's "Tour Of Duty". Tim's charcter had "Been There" and "Done That". Was a screw-up and drunk back at the Base Camp, but rock solid in the bush.

Come to think of it. Tim would have made a fairly decent "Sgt. Rock".

Jack.

I'm 47 and I got ya beat. My grandfather was born in 1845 and fought in the Civil War. My father was the next to the last child of his 3rd wife and was 42 when I was born.

Hmmm.. the horny old devil was still having kids at 70..

Just think, somewhere in the US there is probably a 70 year old man, conceived by a 70 year old father born in 1864 which could give him a granddaddy born in 1794.

Time flys...

If that is not enough to do it for you, here are some other signs you are getting old.

1. You have been in the record store for 15 minutes before it dawns on you that they don't sell records anymore.

2. You remember when elevator music was some toned down version of a beatles song and now you are enjoying listening to the Rolling Stone on your ride on the lift.

3. That 40-year-old next to you looks ok.

4. You sell your Hot Wheels set on ebay and realize it was 35 years ago that you were playing with the darn thing.

5. You can't read without reading glasses. You are getting older when you buy 10 pairs of reading glassess at the dollar store and scattered them everywhere you might need them 'cause you can never remember where you put just one pair.
