My sisters and I wore white gloves and hats to church when we were real little, I still remember that. We had tiny purses too. I used to fill my purse with rocks and hit boys with it. ;)

Baseball games have always been played at night, in lighted ball parks. Specifically, the world series was always played at night.

Now that reminds me of Rowan and Martin's Laugh In, do you remember them? Do you remember the skit they would do with the little old lady on the park bench and the old geezer who kept coming up along side her, she would get out that purse and start hitting him with it. Me and my brothers loved that one, we'd giggle up a storm.
Of course I had the black patent leather shoes for Sunday that would get shined with vaseline, and then later in the late 60s the white go go boots - what a leep that was, black patent leather to go go boots...

Great Screen name :)
I was so fortunate to have Ronald Reagan President during most of High School and College. What a positive, dynamic influence to grow up with!

Or ride a bicycle without a brain bucket.
Or that a BB gun, modeling glue, firecrackers, a box of Strike On Anything Matches, five or six assembled model planes and ships and a sack of green Army Men made for a wickedly fun and destructive summer afternoon with your friends.
Jack.

I remember Laugh In. I also had the patent leather shoes, black, of course. That was Ruth Buzzy and Arte Johnson in the 'old lady on the bench' skit.
One of my favorite memories (circa 1972) was sitting under a big orange and yellow umbrella on a hot, sunny day. It was on a round pinic table in our back yard. I played cards with about 3-4 of the neighbor kids and my sisters. Mom made us lemonade.

...AND, of course,
MY all-time favorite... 51. The 'Constitution and 'Bill of Rights' have ALWAYS been mere quaint, irrelevant documents, of no more than momentary historical interest.
