Sounds like a game I'd like! :-)

Another thing in Neverwinter Nights I've found useful for getting out of tough situations is manipulating the healing process. In that game you can usually teleport back to your origin point if you need to heal up, and you can also heal yourself in combat with potions or (for paladins) laying of hands. But it's tricky because you have to do it before your hp get too low; otherwise you can get killed before the healing takes effect. So I try to take a lot of healing potions along and heal myself up periodically before my hp get too low, if possible.

Also, with multiple opponents I try to concentrate on killing the most dangerous one as quickly as possible, to minimize the number of rounds I'm getting attacked by more than one.

Hmmm--that's about all I can think of off the top of my head. Not sure how much of that is applicable to RotK, but hopefully some is. I think I need to try that game! :-)

I really like Neverwinter. Wish I had enough time to play it well.

It's probably the most enjoyable video game I've played. It does take a long time to play, though! And once you get into it, it's addictive. I pulled a few all-nighters on that game :)

Sounds really good. Lot of work, but good.

If I get brave one of these days, maybe I'll try it! I'd just need to pick up some cream...

It's pretty!

Wish we were getting more here! We had a nice light fall earlier...I had a whole group of carolers come by, and it was just lovely with the music and the snow, though I felt terrible 'cause I had nothing to give 'em...

Now it's just getting colder and colder VEY rapidly. High tomorrow...supposedly 5 degrees. Yay.

Speaking of being mad...

After the mail came yesterday and no DVD, I emailed Amazon again. Got a follow up email. They said they believe it may have been lost and they're sending another copy, no charge. Should be here by Wednesday.

That's still too long. But at least they tried to fix it. Doesn't mean I'll buy from them again, but still.

Hair, ecurbh, we're on a roll. Who else do we need to go after?

I spent the entire afternoon (it never got above 5 here) watching ROTK-EE. It certainly makes for a more satisfying experience than the theatrical release.

While Theoden's speech to the troops still gets to me, I have to admit that Aragorn's speech outside the black gates is moving up in my estimation.

I hate to say this, but does anybody else see Legolas's attack on the oliphant as something similar to Luke versus the ATAT in "Empire Strikes Back"?

It really is pretty. I can't do it justice with the camera. I even used the tripod to get the night settings to work. Didn't help.

It seems to have pretty much slacked off now. But it's about 28 degrees out there, so tomorrow morning may be interesting.

Same place on disc 2... not as funny as the German interview, IMO.
