Youth Dies After Drinking Bottle of Tequila
Minneapolis Star Tribune | November 11, 2004 | From The Deer Stand

Posted on 11/11/2004 3:09:32 PM PST by From The Deer Stand

Isidro S. Dominguez, 20, St. Paul, died Monday after drinking a bottle of tequila at a home party on the city's east side. Dominguez told friends that he was man enough to drink the entire bottle, and he did. He collapsed, began vominting and passed out. He was carried to a porch and later carried inside the home. At 3 p.m. Monday Sosimo Ortez-Cortez, also 20, discovered that Dominguez was not breathing. He summoned help but it was too late. The medical examiner said that Dominguez's blood alcohol content was .55. Ortez-Cortez was charged with a felony for supplying the tequila.

I really have no idea how I managed to survive to adulthood.

Yeah, that way the 20-year-old youth's family can sue the tequila maker.

I wonder what brand? You can get tore up on that stuff. Whiskey's like an A-Bomb in your head, but you live through it to the next morning.

Imagine that. It's possible to drink so much alcohol that you die. I'm....I'm flabbergasted!

I really have no idea how I managed to survive to adulthood. you got that right, in college I had 10 tequila shots in 10 minutes, it was rough next four days. The upside was I did not drink a margarita for 10 years.

Ouch. That's a bit harsh imo. The guy who died was 20, not 14.

Good God! Not even I could slam down an entire bottle of tequila at once! And that's speaking as someone who survived a drinking contest with some Russians.

Someone nominate that kid for a Darwin Award!
