I once tried to drink a friend under the table. We split a bottle of gin. Good thing the bottle wasn't bigger. We both felt fine afterward and went for a long walk. Probably helped us the next day.
I went drinking in the country with two friends and a half gallon of tequilla one weekend some years back.
The next morning I awoke asleep in the back seat of my own Jeep with only one shoe on and no recollection of how I got there.
That was enough for me.
Yeah, I thought I could not drink enough beer to pass out, but I woke up in my clothes in my motel after a night of beer drinking. The TV was still on. The good thing was that the bar was just across the street from the motel, but I decided that drinking is far more hazardous than I thought. I usually think if one is good then two is better, however I still drink, but much more in line with the MDs who say a drink or two a day is good for you, more is not good for you.
Hey, where's your macho attitude? You should blame the illness on the Chinese food. :)
There use to be Mexican Restaraunt in Marina Del Rey Ca (El Toritos) I use to go to in my hey day if you drank a shot of Quervo with the worm in it you got a little plaque with your name on it..wonder if my name is still there????
That reminds me of something I haven't thought about in years. A long, long time ago when our parents were out of town, my brothers and I got into the liquor cabinet. We hit the gin, thinking we could always dilute it with water to cover our tracks. (Not a good idea)
The only thing in the house we had to "mix" it with was root beer. (Also not a good idea) No wonder I never became a mixicologist. It tasted as bad as you are imagining.
That also reminds me of a long ago memory. Two buddies and I were drinking a bottle of mescal with a worm in the bottom. Being a tad brighter than my compatriots, I let them fight over who got to eat the worm. After they about came to blows I talked them into cutting the worm in half. Then they wussed out and ate their half on a dorito.
I guess my misspent youth of alcohol abuse didn't have a long term effect on my short term memory (or is it a short term effect on my long term memory?).
Those days of Tequila or Yegermeister (I'm not sure if that's how you spell it) were some rough days.....
I limit my evenings with wine now...Good for your blood!
