Yep...a BAC of 0.55 will kill you dead. You might have a chance if you're a maintenance-level long-time alcoholic, but not a 20-year-old fool.

I feel the same way. When I was 15, I drank 3/4 bottle of (warm) gin... while in school.
The horrid vomiting would have been punishment enough, but wanting to be polite, I announced to the girls in the bathroom that 'I am drunk and need to throw-up'. I didn't realize until I was finished that the assistant principal was also in there.
Memories.

Isidro S. Dominguez, 20, St. Paul, died Monday after drinking a bottle of tequila at a home party on the city's east side. Dominguez told friends that he was man enough to drink the entire bottle, and he did.He is awarded the Darwin Award with a Golden Worm.

I think that the only reason I survived college was because I am very, very big.

I wonder if he ate the worm.

Too bad he had to go like this. Guess he couldn't have handled three straight shots of either Everclear or Barcardi 151.

Actually, it was a large bottle.

I had 10 tequila shots in 10 minutes, it was rough next four days I did that with 13 once .... that last one is a killer.
Driving home that night (exactly .5 miles) cured me of EVER drinking and driving ....

I wonder who his parent will blame it on!
Public School System, Jose Cuervo? Bush?
Can't possibly be his fault!
Then, they'll sue.

I hope President Bush allows Vicente Fox to choose our next Chief Justice! Had Hanoi John won the election, the late Yass'hole would've won, and his little French bitch too. Just by the hair of our chinny-chin-chins have we prevailed, fellow FReepers. Our ideology is overpowering, converting more at work and in the family every day, eventually into finally marginalising the appeasement party into political obsolescence once and for all... it's not easy nor fun all the time, but the uncommitted can be swayed! Kerry barely won Minnesota... thanks to fellow FReepers... we have to work that much harder in '06 to ensure a GOP sweep... The NARN and MNFReeps will be on the job...

Well if he had lived through it he would have wished he were dead the next day.

I wasn't very big, but guess I had experience on my side. Won the county's Jack Daniels drinking contest at 18, had double vision for two days. Won the Crown Royal drinking contest at 24. Like Marciano, I gave up my belt and retired while I was ahead. No more competitive drinking for me. Now I only drink to excess for my own amusement.

I remember sitting down in my dorm room and quietly working my way through a 1.75 liter bottle of Lord Calvert in a couple of hours, and then hitting the bar. Yeesh. Can't even fathom that now.

Arrgh! Don't even mention Two Fingers! I drank the better part of a bottle when I was about 23. After eating Chinese food. I was sick for 3 days. I couldn't even smell tequila without gagging. 20 years later, it's my favorite (Patron), but now I only drink 1/4 to 1/3 of the bottle at a time.
