The Hobbit Hole XVIII - Though we pass them by today...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Posted on 12/20/2004 9:01:36 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Though we pass them by today...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Probably the best place to ask this: Where can I get the best deal on LOTR complete DVD set?

You are right. I forgot that it was only ale.

I do hope Jackson does The Hobbit. Who do you think he'll tag for Bilbo? I think Billy or Sean would make a good Bilbo, or he may go for someone totally new. I think it would be hard to get Ian to reprise him. Its hard to make an old person look young.

Hair - LOVE the graphics used in the HH logo.

Well, now it is even better.... the Christmas tree is up, and all of our stockings... those that have been good this year anyway. ;~D

Tolkien said the wine was pretty potent, but still...

My only explanation is that elves have a biological ability to process the alcohol in (domestic) beer into harmless byproducts, but can still get blitzed on their own wine.

Ran into a place designed for people shorter than even I.
So I kept smacking my face into things.

Never again shall I venture through the "Home furnishings" department of Sears, JC Penney, or Filene's again.

Shortcut to electronics and AWAY from the hideous pink curtains that were being foisted off on me.
Not to mention the bright lime green sheets and comforter, or the lemon yellow bath robe.

Well, it was the quickest most expedient way to get my eyes away from those painful colors.
It was almost as bad as staring into a bowl of Lucky Charms.

Lunch? You get lunch?

Alas, wife checked the mail. No DVD. I guess I'm doomed to wait for the replacement copy. But at least they're not sending that through the USPS.

Also, no new contacts. They was supposed to mail me some more trial contacts. I just called and they said "you can pick them up..."

~sigh~

ROTFL!! Gandalf as Father Christmas!

Just saw the note about packing bags and getting ready to move. Y'all have already broken this new thread in quite well!
