Funny thing happened on the way to the office...okay, not really funny, but upon entering my office I was smacked in the face with the overwhelming smell of propane (insert Hank Hill joke). Our office shares the same building with a restaraunt (source of the propane leak) and a veteranarian's office, so I've spent the last few hours evacuating cats, dogs and some kinda lizard from the vet and trying to convince English-challenged kitchen staff to evacuate. But that's over, I'm back at home and it's time for a beer. Oh, and the OFST ping list is on a 'puter surrounded by explosive gas so if y'all could ping some of the usual suspects...

Speaking of musical dead guys:

Late one night the Coroner's assistant is cleaning up in the lab when he notices a new body had been brought in. Upon examining the body he discovers a cork in the corpse's rear end. Curious, he removes the cork and suddenly hears "Your cheatin' heart..." coming from the orifice.

Startled, he puts the cork back in and the music stops. Thinking he couldn't have heard what he heard, he pulls out the cork again and again he hears "Your cheatin' heart..." Again, he replaces the cork and again the music stops.

Not sure what to do, he decides to wake the Coroner. He calls his boss and says "You've got to come down here immediately! You've got to see this! I don't know what to do with this body!!" The Coroner says "Fine, I'll be right there."

As soon as he arrives, the assistant takes him straight to the body and says "get this" and pulls the cork out of the corpse's rear end. Once again they hear: "Your cheatin' heart..." The Coroner angrily looks over at his assistant and says "You mean to tell me that you got me out of bed in the middle of the night just to listen to some ***hole sing country music?"

The Tubbies have been very busy as of late.

With the onset of winter, unit 1204 is moving into the house next door. The barn where they stayed last year is not available and I do not think the Tubbies like it too much there.

Tinky Winky has been very busy. Lawyer Winky went to a law conference yesterday and did a presentation on statutory construction. The day before, Farmer Winky was assisting the migrant workers in picking apples.

It rained a lot the from Saturday through Tuesday and the Tubbies did not do much. Po did not really like ruiding her scooter in the rain, although Dipsy and La La played in the rain quite a bit.

Gathering up the winter stores of toast and custard is ongoing, and they hope to have that done by 12/01/05.
