For your bookmarking assistance, this is a reference list of links to the Aug 2006 or newer Free Republic threads on the topic of the JonBenet Ramsey murder case and the possible arrest of John Mark Karr as a suspect in her murder.
Bear in mind that a total stranger would not know the sleeping habits of the Ramseys. He wouldn't even know if the parents were asleep or not, because they were on the upper floor. Every single minute a stranger remained in that house was a minute when he potentially could have been discovered. If the perp were a stranger, simple human nature and logic dictates that he would have wanted to get out of that house as fast as possible, with or without a successful snatch of the girl.
Everything we know about the case suggests the killer was not afraid of being caught that night.
I won't defend pedophilia, murder or a lot of other things but I do think much of what has been said about JMK is contested or outright incorrect, so I don't want to jump to conclusions. But I definitely can relate to your reaction.
2. So far, other than his own statements, there is zero evidence that he killed JonBenet. He may have, but there is no hard evidence that he did.
I'd have to think it could happen, depending. I couldn't say a generalization that would cover every conceivable situation.
He have to be SUPERMAN to hold up to what he has been through these past few days (Karr's Lawyer)
I call him a pedophile because I think it points to that.
The definition is, sexual attraction to children. The acting out is called molestation.
As to hard evidence, we don't yet know all of what might exist in that regard.
That will have to stand up in a court of law, and it will have to be more solid than what is now known as fact by the public. But there is enough known even by the public to warrant suspicion that he could be the one.
Just as there's lots out there that appears at this time to point away from it.
This has already been refuted numerous times, but I'll post it again.
The party on 12/23/96 was a small party of family friends, very small party - every single person there was known to someone else there.
There were NO strangers at this party.
They were the inner circle of adult friends of the Ramseys and the child friends of JonBenet's and Burke's.
Fleet and Priscilla White, their children Fleet III and Daphne; Priscilla's sister Alison Schoeny; her boyfriend Clif Gaston; Alison's daughter and her husband, the Coxes; Susan and Glen Stine and the mother of each of them, plus their child; the Barbers and their little girls; the Barnhills from across the street.
Their cleaning lady, Linda Hoffman-Pugh and her daughter were also there for part of it. The boarder from across the street at the Barnhills came by briefly to say that JonBenet's dog was barking back at their house, where he was kept.
Santa Bill McReynolds and his wife came and played Santa, gave out small gifts, read something Patsy wrote for each child. Then they left. Their son who worked at the Safeway bakery had come by in the afternoon and delivered some undecorated gingerbread houses, which Patsy had ordered, for the children to decorate.
The Charles Kuralt film crew did NOT come--they had gotten enough other Santa footage for their special *before* they had a chance to get to the Ramseys' house.
This was the main reason the party had come together in the first place, because Santa Bill had asked them to have it for the benefit of the film crew which was shadowing him that day for a TV special.
There were no extraneous people there.
If I left someone out, going from my memory, I'll correct it after I have time to look it up in my notes.
Karr was NOT there.
The window pane was already broken, he didn't have to loosen a latch - in advance, or ever.
The Fernies, I know I forgot them. John and Barb and their young son and one of his friends, were also at the party. Good close friends of the Ramseys.
Patsy's father Don was there, too. Forgot him. Now I'll go look at my notes.
Also the Browns, Priscilla White's parents, were there from California.
And I forgot that Priscilla's sister Alison and her daughter Heather Cox were not there - they had gone shopping, but their significant others were there.
We only considered the report because CNN (could be any media, for all I care) had it. Now if they know that a party was held there, could they not just as well find out if it were even possible Karr was there?
Yes, lots of misinformation has been put out. At this point who knows what is hard and fast, with absolutely no loopholes or wiggle room, and what is not? I don't.
There's nothing else to do, as long as the media reports it as they do, but wait and find out what happens with the prosecutor and if there is even a case, or what it consists of.
You're welcome. Sorry so late replying, was off puter most of day with modem on fritz, then had storms. Now getting caught up.
Glad you're sleuthing with us.
There is an irony to that which I might mention later after I see if it's still relevant, which it probably isn't after 10 years.
You're welcome. Hope they can be helpful in sorting things out. Ha!
"Maybe that person who did that thinks it's important that someone confesses. And he's chosen that other person to do that in his place. "
???????? Obviously, the authenticity of the tapes will have to be determined, but if it is him speaking and it is 2001, then that would be telling, yes?
Yes - as a way of throwing others off his track. Remember, he claimed to have been entrapping Wendy because he was accusing *her* of having done something bad.
He will say he was trying to get *her* to confess to something, albeit NOT the JonBenet murder.
Have you ever heard anything about out of place photos found in the basement?
No - any more info than that? Maybe something would ring a bell, but that doesn't.
I am trying to locate the original link to this interview...
THOMAS HANEY: Did you take some photographs of JonBenet in the basement laundry room?
PATSY RAMSEY: No.
TRIP DeMUTH: You had presents in the basement laundry room, right?
PATSY RAMSEY: Right.
TRIP DeMUTH: So you wrapped presents in the basement laundry room, right?
PATSY RAMSEY: Right.
TRIP DeMUTH: So you were down in the basement laundry room pretty often?
PATSY RAMSEY: Depending on what time of year it was, yeah, uh-hum.
TRIP DeMUTH: And do you remember photographs being -- photographs of JonBenet being in there?
PATSY RAMSEY: Taken of her in the laundry room?
TRIP DeMUTH: No, no. Photographs of her located in the laundry room?
PATSY RAMSEY: Oh, in the laundry room, oh. I don't know, there was a bunch of stuff, I mean wrapping stuff and everything. I don't remember any photographs.
TRIP DeMUTH: Is there any reason why there would be photographs of JonBenet located in the laundry room?
PATSY RAMSEY: No. Were there -- I mean, did somebody find them there?
TRIP DeMUTH: If there were, would that be out of place for you?
PATSY RAMSEY: It would seem to be out of place. I kept wrapping materials and sometimes I worked, wrapping station, Christmas paper and --
TRIP DeMUTH: Would -- who else had access to the laundry room, who else would go in there? I know everybody would have access, but who else would use it? Would the boys play in there? Would John go down there?
PATSY RAMSEY: I mean anybody culd, but I mean the boys could come down and go in the train room, we had the train set up. In the far back in through there, you know. Not in the laundry, really, area.
TRIP DeMUTH: Did anybody besides you use that laundry room?
PATSY RAMSEY: Sometimes Linda would wash, if we were washing comforters or something, because those were big heavy-duty laundry machines, she'd take the things in there, rugs and things, and wash them down there.
TRIP DeMUTH: Okay.
THOMAS HANEY: So you don't recall taking a photo of her down there?
PATSY RAMSEY: (Shaking head.)
THOMAS HANEY: If she was doing something really cutesy or something, would you maybe run and get the camera, take one of her?
PATSY RAMSEY: Of her in the laundry room?
THOMAS HANEY: Uh-hum.
PATSY RAMSEY: No.
Found the what I think is the REAL Patricia:
PATRICIA ADCOCK 28 Apr 1938 Jul 1985 Alabama
That's from SSDI and the Alabama means where she got her SS card, not where she was born or living or died.
It appears she was 20 when she married Wex, not 18, like the article said "court documents" state. They were allegedly married Aug. 21, 1958.
John Mark would've been 20-1/2 when she died. Thanks for helping us out with this. It needs to be sent to ABC News Law & Justice Unit to set the record straight -- unless this isn't the right one, either.
There are no Karrs or Adcocks, first name Patricia or Elaine in the index born in 1939 or 1940. This seems to fit close to the timeframe of her age and her death and is geographically appropriate.
