I think the idea these lefties want to get across is that the New Testament, and any faithful recreation of it, is anti-Semitic.
I remember there was a famous documentary about anti-semitism in the aftermath of 9/11, it was done by a Jewish documentary producer.

The left will never say anything about their members. Look at their former Presidential candidates like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson who routinely spew out anti semitic remarks, and let`s not forget their newest Presidential candidate Hellary Rotten Clinton who said Ghandi was working at a gas station, and her Paul Fray/Dick Morris anti semetic remarks. Then we have that love fest of hers with Suha Arafat. Maybe Mel should become a Democrat and spew some more. Then according to the left he would be Presidential material.

Rob, although the Romans crucified Jesus, they did so because the Jewish religious hierarchy demanded it and, at the same time, suggested to the one they demanded it of that they'd send a letter to Caesar saying that he, Pilate, was no friend of Caesar if he didn't kill Jesus. It was a confluence of threatened blackmail meeting a desire to preserve one's career at the cost of an innocent man's life. That's not anti-Semitism. It's just history.
I think Rob Reiner must acknowledge that Spinal Tap was anti-Semitic
