Charges Dropped in Wis. Necrophilia Case

LANCASTER, Wis. - A judge on Friday dismissed charges of attempted sexual assault against three men accused of trying to dig up a woman's body to have sex with the corpse, noting that Wisconsin has no law against necrophilia.

The men still face lesser charges.

Twins Nicholas and Alexander Grunke, 20, and Dustin Radke, 20, were arrested after an alleged attempt to dig up the body of a 20-year-old woman who was killed Aug. 27 in a motorcycle crash. Officials said a caller reported suspicious activity in the cemetery Sept. 2, and deputies found someone had dug down to her vault.

Authorities said the three were not acquainted with the woman but had seen an obituary with her photo.

Circuit Judge George Curry said that while there was no law that addressed necrophilia, there was enough evidence to continue the case because of criminal damage to property and the alleged attempt to break into a burial vault.

Ok I'm as Libertarian a person as you will ever meet but come on. There are certian things that are so far beyond the pale that the government should outlaw them necrophilia being at the top of the list.

This slightly reminds me of a case I heard about here. There was a guy whose friend died while they were traveling. The thing was he didnt tell anyone and proceeded to ride around with his buddies Corpse in the Truck for like 5 days.
The DA looked at it and wnet on well nothing illegal about that.

This is, of course, is a consequence of the inexorable march toward depravity we are experiencing in the United States.

There used to be a "EWWWWWW Factor" toward anal sex between homosexual men. Now, we are told, that is another form of "love" we are supposed to accept and tolerate. "Let them marry," we are told.

Who are we to judge homosexuals for their misuse of sexual organs?

We are headed toward, "Who are we to judge those who have sex with children, dead people or with live animals?"

A few years ago, a woman in Tennessee reported seeing a man having sex with a donkey in broad daylight, in plain view. The newspaper story said there was no ordinance against sex with a live animal. The only law he broke was being indecent in public. Presumably, if you have sex with animals, you only need do it in privacy of your home.

It is incredible we must contemplate passing legislation against necrophilia, a concept so disgusting, sane people of the past would never consider the need to control it.

Is not "love" in the eye of the participant?
