Or how about 'if the mother had taken her son to the EMERGENCY department of the nearest hospital instead of waiting so she could have someone to blame for his death!'
Hopefully it's not me again. Last week they got me for the guy down the street who had a headache.
Sounds like the Dept. of Families screwed up again.
It's really sad that this boy died, and I feel bad for his mom and family. BUT this is not the fault of the 'big bad government' for failing to take care of this boy, it's the mothers.
If his mother had been insured.
If his family had not lost its Medicaid.
If Medicaid dentists weren't so hard to find.
How about if his mother had taken him to any dentist. They would have treated his emergency case and worked out a reasonable payment schedule.
I guess the government is to blame for a 12 year old
with rotten teeth. Note to self: make sure the local
food bank is stocked with tooth brushes and the DVD
of the film "Colgate New Jersey"....JJ61
I bet if the cable company was going to disconnect her, she'd of found 85 dollars....bunch of cr#p.
For some reason the lib media seems to think this story should justify national healthcare. Why, I don't know. After all, the same folks in charge of Medicaid will be in charge of nationalized healthcare. If anything, this story serves as a reminder as to why national healthcare would be a disaster.
Anyone who thinks this story should support national healthcare should make an appointment with a Medicare/Medicaid approved proctologist because they have their heads up their butts.
I don't know where these people are, but 1 trip to the county health department will get a tooth extracted post haste around here.
Why not just say a prayer of thanks that we don't live like that, and a prayer for peace for the boy's mother and his family?
Don't rip some lady apart after her kid just died.
If a kid needs help, a kid needs help. Regardless of status.

If his mother hadn't been focused on getting a dentist for his brother, who had six rotted teeth.
Well, which is it? She found a dentist for his brother. This is just poor parenting, poor dental hygiene and stupidity. ER's will take you even if you can't pay...and apparently she was able to hospitalize him, unfortunately, too late for the child.
Liberals haven't managed to screw up dentistry yet; one of their goals is to wrap it into healthcare so they can control and destroy it.
Why don't these people just hand their kids over to the government at childbirth?
They expect the government to raise the kid anyway.
Oh, my truck is dirty. How can the gubment let my truck stay so dirty?
Whats that? Clean it myself? You mean I have to get off my lazy ass and take some responsibilty for myself?
But I am entitled!!
Who needs socialized dentistry, didn't anyone see Cast Away?
All you need is a figure skate and a mallet.
No, you guys are missing the liberalogic(tm)! It's not about whether adequate common sense would have prevented the problem, or whether multiple redundant safety nets could have dealt with the tooth if Mom had only bothered.
As long as it's even *possible* for a parent to so neglect their child, government must expand. Only when every child is raised by the State will Utopia exist - and it'll be apparent Utopia because at that point the MSM will stop noticing and reporting the squalor.
We all know the technique: the homeless magically vaporize off the papers when a Democrat is in office, only to appear the day after a Republican's inauguration. Cuba's poor are non-persons in the media. And so forth.
This mother of the year could have also taken him to a local dental school. You can get dental care for a small fee or for free. If she was in the Washington area, there should be one around somewhere.
