Do you have kids?

I’m wondering if there’s more to the story than what’s being reported... what she did to make him THAT mad... obviously, just not answering the phone wouldn’t enrage him that much (unless he’s really nuts). For all we know, she could have told him off or numerous other things. Kids can do some pretty crazy things and *sometimes* parents can be pushed to the edge such that a bystander not aware of the entire situation would think the parents were nuts.

JMHO.

Nothing that child could have done or said justifies the feral rage that one hears in what is allegedly Baldwin’s voice. I’d be real interested to know how TMZ.Com got their hands on this, my first guess is that Kim Basinger made a few private emails with ‘attachments’ to the right people, and I don’t blame her a damn bit for it.

Even if there WAS something she did, there is no way in HELL she deserves that kind of verbal abuse from her father. I’m sorry, but when you have kids, it’s incumbent upon you to maintain your cool, even when you’re enraged.

Isn't the whole point of being an adult to be a role model? I know it's hard, but still. This was over the line. Imho, it is the mother who should be laying down the law in this case. In a firm but not antagonistic way. This is his daughter.

Yes they can, however if you one can't control one's self while talking to an answering machine then maybe one should seek the professional help of an anger management specialist.

And if Alec talked to a 12 year old kid in front of me like that I would make him wish he hadn't (not with physical violence but by giving him some of his own medicine) and I bet I could unhinge him real damn fast.

What SHE did? This is not her fault. I understand frustration. But she is the child. He is the adult. Although maybe he just plays one from time to time. There is no excuse for him unleashing that tirade on a child. The man is an arrogant spoiled pompous fool.

Please enlighten me, under what circumstances would you consider this tirade appropriate for your 11 year old daughter? What could any child possibly do, even if she is coached by mom, where this would be a reasonable response? I can’t think of any instance where this is justified.

Indeed, they can. And my 4 drove me batty sometimes, but I never swore at them and I certainly would never have called them “rude little pigs”. (Not out loud anyway.)
