Conventional theory states that Phobos has been marred by repeated meteor impacts, but could electricity have played a significant role?

Of course Phobos has been "marred" - after all, it is a moon of Mars. What other word would you use to describe it? Earthed? (well, 'Earthed' would fit in with the electrical motif or the article, wouldn't it... )
