Lake Houston. Live bream and whole shad, the big shad that run about 6-8 inches long. Also, when I catch a small catfish 8-10 inches long I just forget to take him off the line.
The best bait of all!
When I was a kid in the late 50s I'd go with my dad to run his lines every day at Lake Cherokee after he got off work. Every so often he'd have a largemouth bass on his line, which he considered a trash fish. He'd knock it in the head so it wouldn't be around to steal any more bait. You should see the reaction when I tell that story to bass fishermen.
LOL. You always pull out that pic of the BIG one. I love it!!
I told you before, my sis and her husband spend EVERY weekend chasing big cats on the Tennessee River in Alabama. My sis loves to outfish her hubby. They spend every weekend sleeping on his bass boat night fishing, blow up a queen sized air bed, and when he sleeps, she is trying to outfish him. She has hooked some monsters.
They also approach crappie fishing with the same dedication.
