'Events of the Last Few Days' Show 'Considerable Amount of Racism' 3 hours ago
MSNBC.COM ^ | 10/13/08 | Ted Koppel et. al

Posted on 10/13/2008 12:21:36 AM PDT by ransomnote

Film clip of NBC program MEET THE PRESS via Breitbart. Ted Koppel is asked if race is a factor in the presidential election. (He has just written a book "The Last Lynching") He says events in the last 3 days show a considerable amount of racism. He featurs an audio clip of a man saying that those voting for Barack, not for his stance on issues, but simply because he is black is a step backward for our country. Koppel then explains that the person who said that had served 20 years in prison as a KKK member convicted of lynching a black man. So I guess we better not hold Barack to normal standards (character, issues) lest we be too similar in mind to a convicted KKK murderer? Other anchors pitch in with a female anchor noting that according to a study, Barack (if white) should be 6 points higher in the polls. The clip is short, worth watching, but absurd.

If Zero were [completely] white, we wouldn’t even be discussing him.

This being is utterly corrupt and bereft of *any* skills necessary to be POTUS.

He was -selected- solely to ride the race/liberal guilt card straight into the White House.

The riots, AKA adult form of a temper tantrum when they don’t get what they want.

Racism, that’s laughable. What a trumped up charge. What a world we’ve become when you question someone’s character, and that’s called racism. It’s the perfect escape hatch to never have your character questioned. Wake up world, character counts, and racism is an entirely different subject.

These guys are making up the news as they go along.

Our freedom is coming to an end, and these clowns in the liberal media are the cheerleaders.

The liberal media, and Barack’s supporters (they’re the same) are trying to use race to stifle dissent. They’ve been doing it for decades, and now they’re trying it in a Presidential campaign.

There was no racism on our part. This sort of thing is just leftist insane ranting.

You mean voters like these:

Oh well ...I guess that makes me a racist

Koppel has been here in Mobile doing a special about a Black guy that was lynched 27 years ago.

Guess what? The special is to be released before the election.

Here's the article from the local newspaper:

Ted Koppel looks back on 1980s lynching in Mobile

"The 1981 murder of Mobile's Michael Donald figures prominently in a documentary program to be televised nationally on Monday night. "

Fox was discussing racism and its affect on the election this year. They asked for people to email them with comments about how they thought racism might become a part of the election. Somebody emailed with this comment, “If 90% of Blacks vote for OBama simply because he is black is that racism?” The only thing the commentator had to say was interesting point. I guess it’s still true that only whites can be racist.

The only racism I see are those who are supporting him because he is black, from both Caucasian and African-American voters.

They would love to make it about race..

Koppel and the other news reporters are so marinated in the media-created media-promoted perception of race-turmoil that they cannot say or do anything without proclaiming America to be racist.

These racial accusations against whites and the GOP make perfect sense in their minds .... even though 99% of their stereotypes were discarded 40 years ago.

DEAR LORD --- "what did our nation do to deserve these cretins such as Koppel spouting ugly on our TV news networks every night?"

Actually, Ted Koppel IS partially right; race is a major issue in this race. Check out this clip from Howard Stern if you question this:

It’s worth your time. I just wish the mainstream press would pay attention.

Good article about all this...

Everyone is out to destroy Palin - but it’s Obama’s past we should examine

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2104020/posts

[snip]”Whenever any of this surfaces, the Left tries to suppress it by screaming ‘guilt by association’. Not so. This is guilt by participation. The left cries ‘smear’ and ‘racism’. On the contrary - if Obama wasn’t a black Democrat, with this history his candidacy would have been toast before it got started.”

What a sad thing...the way Koppel thinks he can make any sort of
comparison of the real-deal lynchings of years past...
to the way humans are treated by-and-large these days in the USA.

Someday folks like Koppel are going to be suprised when Goebbels,
Walter Duranty and other propagandists shake his hand and say
they're really big fans of his work.
