If You Forget Me

I want you to know one thing. Angels

Angels are the guardians of hope and wonder,
the keepers of magic and dreams
Angels watch over you wherever you go,
keeping each day perfect and promising a bright new tomorrow

The motto of all angels is “it's a wonderful life”
Wherever there is love; an angel is flying by

Angels help you carry the ball, carry a tune,
carry your weight and carry on!
Your guardian angel knows you inside and out
and loves you just the way you are

Angels keep the world safe
for hummingbirds and butterflies and rainbows in spring
Angels keep it simple and always travel light
Angels love whispering secrets and whistling in the dark
Whenever you hear music, and angel is speaking to you

Remember to leave space in your relationships
so the angels have room to play
Your guardian angel helps you find a place
when you feel there's no place to go
Keep a spare angel in your pocket

Angels carry high-beam lights
to help you through the darkest hours
Whenever you feel lonely,
a special angel drops in for tea

Angels know that love is the only four letter word
We are always “angels on call” for a friend

Everytime you hear a bell,
another angel has earned it's wings
Angels are with you every step of the way
and help you soar with amazing grace

After all, we are angels in training;

Ash Dream

Sometimes, in a fireplace, a limb will be consumed,
So slowly, so gently, that it retains its form,
Just as it was in life; the shape of the veins,
The mark of the bark. It shares those moments warm,

And filled with sunshine, having knitted structure,
Out of the very air. Such magic! -- that it weaves its dreams,
In daylight, making sugar chains too long for eating,
For any but termites, or beavers by their streams.

Those streams of tears that fell upon the hills,
After traveling on the sighs of tropic wistfulness,
To dash out all their hopes in Northern climes,
For trees to sip, and gossip with a stately cheerfulness.

And so this ashen ghost of form, observed by dreamers,
Resembles what we think we may become one day,
When all our cheerful sunniness, our hopes and dreams,
Have spun and scattered forth like Autumn leaves at play.

Perhaps one day I will be sitting in a park,
With wistful smiles recalled upon my face,
Having become an ashen image of my self,
That scatters to the winds without a trace.

Beautiful is the ‘thank you’ Wrapped with gratitude Offered to someone Who goes out of his way, Sidetracking his own self- Nay, his very survival, To help a lame dog Over the hedge. Beautiful is he Though without tomorrow Enjoys the heat of the moment Or the cold stare of fate Without sorrow Cultivates good feelings In the teeth of adversity Notwithstanding in a second His breath could be taken away.
