Not to be negative but I have read that armies from other countries such as Russia have trained here. UN armies have practiced taking over cities in the US. It could be possible for them to call in armies from other nations. They will not have a problem dealing with us. I have read some bad stories about UN soldiers.
The bright side, if you can call it that, is if he wants to become The World Leader he may not want to express his maniacal side here yet. He will want to build his reputation in the world. Right now that is what I am hoping for. That he will play it cool at least for a while. Maybe. It depends on what his backers plans are.

I’ve had nothing to drink tonight but a glass of vitamin D milk. Is that dry enough for you, Sir? Like I told you earlier, find something else to complain about. If I had known you were such a tight wad, I would have never responded to you in the first place, but if you like, I can direct all of my future posts to you, since it makes you so irritable. Just lemme know if you prefer that, and I’ll arrange it happily.

I just bought 400rds of .223 for $184 total including shipping and tax. Being a member of the Sportsman's Guide Buyers Club has it's benefits. This purchase is PMC brand. It was an impulse buy based on election results. But I've been collecting ammo for over 10 years. A little bit at a time, whenever I could afford it. As a result I have over 500rds of the famed Winchester "Black Talon" in 45 ACP. That's but a drop in my bucket, too. LOL

Forget guns, if you are facing a force with guns like any police you have already lost.

Guns are a last ditch defend the homestead scenario.

If you buy do it logically or better yet learn machine shop practices and build your own, it would not be easily traceable, build disposable, we all have watched CSI. One shot, toss it or make it of a material that easily degrades.

Google search prison weapons, they can make anything.

Besides I am always suspicious of gun threads in the first place, too easy to get the macho guys to start bragging and thats an effective way to get information.

Drinking or schizophrenic? Pot, kettle. Kettle, pot.

"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? . . ."

I seriously doubt Americans will shoot fellow Americans, I for one would loath having to square off with any force other than an outside the country invasion force.

Could America have another Civil War? I doubt it. What I do see is a possibility of “truth squads” fanning out to find unrest in its infancy, now if I happen to hear of a fool idiot gun nut blasting away at any show of force well he is still an idiot in my books.

This is not quite yet a Red Dawn type of America, if it ever did I would expect no less than every American to be armed. And frankly if I needed guns I would find the enemy and steal his, not buy them and create a record.

"Just an idea."

Don't even think about it. Get it out of your head right now.
Been to the old guy's house?
Ever called him on the phone?
Exchanged correspondence?
Email?
Been seen in his company?
When the old guy dies, they'll inventory his property. Missing MGs aren't exactly like missing 30-30 Winnys. They'll want 'em found. Big time. They'll know exactly where to start looking.

More so as the years roll on.

I want the speed of a semi-auto, right?

You'd be amazed at the speed of a pump. You sound inexperienced. Get a pump...870's hard to go wrong with. And go hunt some birds with it. Work on muscle memory...make it an extension of yourself.

You sold me. Also my local security guard has said the same thing as you. I have even heard this from yet a third person. So I am sold.

Know a guy that worked for a crematory service. They went to pick up a body...shirt-tail relative of John Wayne's. He said that there were loaded AK mags everywhere in the house. Lots of JW commemoratives. Cops were all over the place looking for registered AKs.

...you are a slow learner...

Seems to be a lot of that going around. I hope these are youngsters, rather than old-timers. I remember when BLOAT was about every tenth post, post-2000 election.

I’m serious about the birds, too. I learned to hunt ducks with a Winchester, so that’s what I got for home defense. Birds can come from anywhere, unexpectedly...or give you 30 seconds notice that they’re coming. You get to learn to deal with a little adrenaline, and swiping the safety off and coming on target becomes second nature. You learn to deal with multiple targets, friendlies...

200 yards?
The Remington 700 out of the box will do its job out to the ballistic limits of the cartridge you have it chambered for.

So, your match-grade commercial .308 ammo will be stable out to at least 800 yards, though it can be, ah, challenging, to hit a target at that range.

Consider a 5.45x39 AK rifle instead the ammo is the only cheap ammo right now for rifles, about half what the .223 and 7.62 ammmo costs.

That’s why I said 200 yards or more depending on the shooter’s skill. I’ve seen novice shooters shoot 10-inch groups at 200 yards with open sights and Remington’s basic Core-Lokt ammo, so I feel pretty confident saying most any shooter could do well at 200 yards to start. It’s generally not the fault of the ammunition in any case.

A skilled shooter could probably purchase a $40 scope and a higher-quality box of ammunition at Walmart and shoot 1 MOA at 500 yards with a 700BDL chambered in .270 or .308. I say that because I’ve done the very same thing.
