As stated above, this is the last update of Firefox version 2.0 and was released only to fix a critical security issue.

Firefox Version 3.0.5 is the newest Mozilla/Firefox browser with version 3.1 rumored to be released in the next 30-45 days (January 2009).

Users are advised to update to version 3.0.5 of Firefox, which was released Tuesday. They are also advised to update to version 2.0.0.19 of Thunderbird and version 1.1.14 of SeaMonkey.

I’m still using Version 2 because some of my add-ons have not been updated. Now that it’s the end of the line, I’ll have to do some research this weekend to see whether its worth having them or if there are replacements. On the other hand, some on here have reported earlier that version 3.0 is buggier than ver. 2.0 and they have gone to another browser.

SeaMonkey's great, but:
Every time I've upgraded "SeaMonkey", I've lost all my profiles info...bookmarks, emails, etc.....

Anyone have a solution to this?
Yes, I've contacted Mozilla, and it's the same ole, go to your profile.....etc etc..but I can't find it. (arghhhhhhhh)

I'm too old for this stuff...:)

I have found that 3.0.5 does not consume as much system resources as 2.0 did.

Almost most of my add-ons have come up to speed. The ones that didn’t, and won’t, I can do without or I was able to replace with a similar type from a different creator.

They are also advised to update to version 2.0.0.19 of Thunderbird ...

The most recent Thunderbird version I can find is 2.0.0.18 released in November.

Yeah, Firefox 2 had some annoying memory leaks that would happen over time.

BUT....BUT....

I thought Firefox was supposed to be absolutely perfect?

I'm surprised that the Microsoft bashing crowd has not blamed I.E. for the problem yet.

No, not perfect, just recommended by just about everyone when it comes to security and IE.
