Good afternoon, LadyJ

"Plus remember our pets are mighty adaptable."
Good advice.

We had a cat that was injured when she got under the hood of our car.
She was an outdoor, barn type cat.We thought that she was a goner.

She healed and learned to use her hind legs again.
Her only problem was when she had a litter of kittens.
She came to the house asking for help. She was okay but she did lose that litter. She did have a later litter.

Have a Warm Fuzzy Wednesday.

Good afternoon, Dita.
That is interesting about the wild parrots.
Do they stay there year round or do they migrate?

Several years ago, we saw a parrot, but by the next morning, he had moved on.
Have always wondered if he was someone's pet.

Hope you are having a Warm Fuzzy Wednesday.

Dutchess, thank you so much for your informative response. And, I agree with your decision about not putting Gizmo through extensive tests or surgery. I have made the same decision. I will look into the carts - and thank you for the advice.

I am so glad that Gizmo is doing well, in spite of his restrictions.

Oh! I just love Caesear, the Dog Whisperer. Isn’t he wonderful?

JC, thank you so much for the video clip! What a powerful, inspiring message! I am going to forward it to my daughter - (and all my female friends). Hugs to you and to your friend’s daughter. She is a blessed woman to have such a sensitive daughter.

I tried again, Dolly. I got it this time. The site might have been busy!

That is a wonderful story. I loved it. I’ve told the story of my son’s dog, Bandit. When he was about 5, he got glacoma and had his eyes removed. People could not believe what that dog could do without eyes.

When we moved, my son brought him on the weekend. Son walked him around the yard and tapped the cyclone fence as they walked. Bandit got around here as well as he got around at home. It just took the one weekend here. Our pets are certainly amazing. They adapt very well.

Thanks again for the link.

In NC I had cat Lester that became blind as a result of Feline leukemia

He followed us around in the yard & hikes - BIG acrerage ( I had quite a few cats from rescue work I did) & romped with others. He did have sight as one time

they just need to be given a chance desite the handicap or problems that develop
