Good evening, Jem.

It's windy here and cold.

Guess what? We could get up to 6 inches of *s*. We got about 2 more over night. Blah!

The end of last week I happened to be watching CNN - don't ask - and Blitzer and Gloria Borger were touting some CNN poll which was strongly positive to O...he's a strong leader...hi approval of his economic plans, etc...

I wondered if I'd wandered off the planet!???

The MSM spent all of their capital getting this guy elected, they can’t afford to make it look like he is failing. They will prop him up as as much as possible every chance they get.

They forgot to add that they only surveyed his adoring followers. /s

Sheesh!

I have to venture out this morning. Darn!

Dad, my brother and I have to meet with an estate planning lawyer. *sigh* Lots of shenanigans being done by his wife. *another sigh*

Raise your hands if you were surprised that Sean Penn won the Oscar. I tuned in for about 3 minutes to watch Jerry Lewis accept his honorary Oscar, and then promptly turned it off.

Sean Penn, in a normal world, would be working as a ride attendant in a small-time carnival.

Amusement for your spare time: look at Michelle Obama's outfits and note how she always uses an upper-body visual distraction to keep people from noticing the size of her caboose. That's why she wears so many dresses with bare arms, even in the midst of winter. It also explains the humongous pins and the huge necklace she wore to the governors' dinner last night.

I am easily amused.

I wanted to stay downstairs (still not feeling all that good), so I turned on the TV to FOX and Friends this morning to find all the talk on nationalizing Citi Bank.

But, zero man said NO bank would be...

Wonder what I’ll wake up to tomorrow????

Turned off the TV and came up to my trusty computer.

A name always comes to mind when I see our first lady galumping around and that is ‘spear chunker”. She is a tall rangey athletic looking woman, never will be a fashion icon that very many will emulate.

Molly, thanks for the start again this morning.

lysie, thanks for breakfast. Take care in the snow

Jemian, hi! Hope all is well ...

Geee, went to the Costco warehouse yesterday in another town ( we were there for breakfast) to see if they had anything different than our Costco. Well, I've wanted to change the light fixture in the bathroom for a more modern looking one for two years and found one I like on sale! Also found a three light motion light detector MR HOB wanted with a coupon attached to it's number squee and saved $2.00 on pears. I'd say the $14.00 savings was worth the trip. We also got gas for $1.74.9 a gallon. then we went to Shopper Food Warehouse where they were giving triple coupons for anything 50 cents and under or double coupons for 50 cents and over up to a 99 cents. Saved another $20.00+ there on things we normally use every week! I 'm trying to heed Johnny's advice and economize on food, so I made turkey soup last night from left overs. Bleech, I don't think it was so good but I froze it anyway. Any ideas on doctoring tasteless turkey soup?

This is the only turkey soup recipe that I had in my file, I've never made it: Turkey Noodle Soup Servings/Yield 4 servings 1 leftover turkey carcass, add extra turkey if necessary ½ onion, chopped fine 3 carrots , sliced 1 tbsp. parsley 4 cups water ¾ tsp. black pepper 2 bay leaves 1 clove garlic, crushed ½ pkg thin spaghetti, cooked 2 stalk celery, chopped 1 tsp. celery salt ½ pkg sliced mushroom ⅓ cup sherry Method Add all to large pot except the spaghetti and simmer, cover for 3 hours. Stir in cooked spaghetti and serve with croutons. I keep a jar of chicken and one of beef "Better Than Bouillon" in my fridge. It is like a concentrated beef or chicken stock in a jar. Use in soups, gravies and many other things. Just be careful, because too much makes the dish salty. I have introduced both of my DIL to this and both of my sisters. They all use it. My mother used to give my bachelor brother chicken soup and he asked my why mine had more flavor. I told him. He kept it in his fridge also to add when he took her soup home, but we never told her cause we didn't want to hurt her feelings.
