Aggressive Cat Is Aggressive <> Defensive Cat Is Defensive

ROTFLMAO! And I don't even like cats!

How in the name of all which is sacred and holy am I going to get through another year without this hilarity?

SJ, you gotta do something! Isn't there some kind of "OBLIGATION" clause in your FR contract to produce a certain number of "Reality Show" threads?

Adam is showing he can do what no onter Idol contestant can do. Front a major existing rock band.

LOL! You're serious aren't you?? He didn't really sing anything!!! Stanley and Simmons did all the lead vocal singing and he basically stole Criss' "Beth" solo. Again, bringing absolutely the wrong "feel" to the song (at least he didn't "scream" during that one!)

Adam wasn't "Fronting" shinola!

I like singers with great range. Like Freddy Mercury and Dennis Deyoung even Steven Perry.

Go get Journey - Captured. Just sit back and listen to Steve Perry sing to his highest pitch and then listen to Adam. Adam has no where near the nuance to sing anything in his higher range without the SCREAM. Yes, Adam can SCREAM in key, unlike Freddy Mercury, Dennis DeYoung, even Steven Perry who can atmospherically actually sing the notes.

For Goodness sakes, even Geddy Lee from RUSH can sing in that register. Although it sometimes sounds like he's got his YOU-KNOW-WHAT'S in a vice gripped to the max!

What? No sparkles when I say nice things? I’m deeply offended. ;)

I'd post some for you, but I don't have any sparkle stuff. Here are some pictures of Sarah Jessica Parker. Does that help?

Kris won't last long, and with the way album sales have plunged in the last couple of years, I don't expect him to sell big.

I have a small friendly prediction challenge with another freeper on who will sell more, Kris or Adam. I think Kris will have a decent run if he writes/chooses music which is endearing to his style. It's the "Music" which will work for Kris, not his voice.

Could you please point me in the right direction so I can find out who sales more. I suspect Adam out did Kris in itunes during the season. Thanks.

Rod Stewart was staggering all over the place then shuffled off the stage.

He almost actually tripped over one of the floor light pods when he first came on the stage. I thought for sure he was going down.

Didn't he use to where a kilt?

Jonny - the strings from left to right are violin, guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, dobro.

I don't know what that means ...

LOL! I really can't figure out if this is a SERIOUS statement, or sarcasm? Either way, it's funny as all get out!

Could you please point me in the right direction so I can find out who sells more.

It's too early for sales figures. When their material comes out, you can go to the Billboard.com site to keep track of how they do on the charts. That's driven by physical sales, digital downloads and radio airplay. You can track both singles and albums there.

In the meantime, Kris' album cover image has been released. Here a link to the photo. There's something creepy about it to me. His expression is like a male Mona Lisa. His eyes are wary, dark and not really smiling, while his lips are curved in that half-hearted smile he does. Blech.

I won't be paying any attention to Kris' career. He does absolutely nothing for me. I don't like his look or his voice. I can see why he appealed to the young Ashley Ferl girls who are this show's core audience. I also understand why their parents probably preferred Kris to Adam when it came down to those two. But in my opinion, Kris is the weakest winner ever. Even weaker than Ruben Studdard, who at least has a pleasant voice.

As for Adam, who the heck knows what direction his career will go in now. He's got a theatrical voice and persona that won't translate easily to today's pop, which is mostly fluffy, light stuff. Kind of the cotton candy of the music world. In any case, I doubt it will be possible to do a fair head-to-head comparison of their careers post Idol since they are likely to go in very different directions.

1)Adam never came out on the show, and producers never pushed the issue. To me, that’s a good thing. It is Adam’s choice to reveal what he wants to, and keep private what he wants to about himself and his personal life. HOWEVER, we all saw the pictures of Adam kissing his long time boyfriend online (which for the life of me, I don’t understand why people get upset or why still others feel the need to show to the rest of the world as if they are revealing some deep dark secret about Adam). That said, in the last week or so (probably a little longer) more graphic VIDEOS have been released on the net showing Adam involved in sexual acts with another male. Many of the Hollywood writers who were backing Adam for the win touted all of the massive google hits about him, saying there’s no way he had that much more interest than any of the other contestants combined, yet he didn’t receive the most votes. I disagree. Adam is unique and massively talented, ain’t no doubt about it, but given the nature of the beast, and the general curiosity of folks, some deviant, some not, his “attention” was based on what others were releasing about him, not that everyone under the sun watches the show and thought he should win.

Lots more at the link

I won't be paying any attention to Kris' career.

Thanks for the information and link.

I can appreciate your take on Kris, I have a halfhearted lean towards him, but that's it. However, Kris has one thing going for him and if he is smart he'll develop his career around it. I call it "song breakdown."

Bryan Adams almost singlehandedly has the market cornered on this style of HOOK and uses it so well. If you know anything about how music moves Bryan Adams has some of the simplest, but best songs ever written. He always gets an audience involved in just about every other song in concert because of the "breakdown" factor. Did you notice Kris did this on some the songs he sang?

Of course you can do this with any song, but there is a form to this writing which lends itself more readily to this factor. Kris is no Bryan Adams, but I think Kris may possibly have some good song writing ability. That's my interest.

I don’t find the photo creepy. I find it boring. It needs something going on in the background.

Queen considering Adam Lambert as permanent lead singer.

LOL! And Gene Simmons basically said Adam was NO ROCK SINGER:

“Respectfully, I don’t think Adam is a rock singer,” Simmons writes. “He sounds much more convincing singing ballads and Broadway shows. His voice doesn’t seem to have a ‘rock quality.’ But, I’m sure he’s going to do just fine.”

Our opinions differ on Adam. I said he was ready to front a major band. Today Queen established that my opinion was correct and that your was wrong.

You can admit the facts as they have unfolded or you can keep insisting that you're right against the evidence.

Whatever you choose, we're done. See you next January.

Great. However, "considering" someone for a lead singer and actually becoming one are two totally different things.

The facts will be established when Adam actually does something and how people respond. I hope Adam is successful because the kid can sing and if he can learn to refine it emotionally he could be great.

I still say Kris will out do Adam in sales.
