I do too. However, way before “green” got hold of the politicians testicles or the curlies, I did purchase those swirly bulbs and they do last. It just so happens Office Depot was selling the 60-watters with this obnoxious “go green” packaging at a cheap price that I broke with myself and purchased a package of 3 yesterday and a package today. I get 10 lashes with a dirty noodle. Whack, whack, whack, etc.

Man driving down road.
Woman driving up same road.
They pass each other.

Man rounds next curve.

Actually, the modulation (CDMA) used by Sprint and Verizon, as well as the 3G mode used by AT&T (W-CDMA) do require the use of GPS for precise timekeeping at each cell base station.
Precise time-keeping is used to synchronize the signal from a handset when received by multiple stations simultaneously (it's called a "soft hand-off").
