Sen. John McCain Says We are Seeing the "Beginning of a Peaceful Revolt in America" - Video 8/25/09

Here is video of Sen. John McCain today at a Town Hall Meeting in Sun City, Arizona where he made the statement:

"I think you are seeing the beginning of a peaceful, and let me emphasize peaceful, revolt in America."

He made the statement in response to a question as to why Americans should trust major party candidates when their ability to achieve results has been so poor?

McCain was far more conciliatory toward President Obama than most in the crowd. The opposition to Obama and what he is trying to do was clear and obvious among the people. But McCain did stand strong against what Obama is trying to do in passing Government Health Care. He spoke positively about the Americans who are standing up and speaking their mind at Town Hall Meetings across the country. . . . . (Watch Video)

I know many people have reason to dislike McCain, but I’ve always respected him and been ready to follow. His comments today show that he’s more than willing to stand up for those who refuse to stand idly by while government healthcare is forced upon them.

No. What you are seeing is the REACTION to what even the loving Pravda Media referred to as a “velvet revolution” (soft) when the Socialists in the Obama Administration took power in January.

The revolution is already here. The American people are pushing back and saying NO. Obama’s agenda is a violation of the founding principles of this nation. Nationalizing some industries, bankrupting the treasury, and socializing medicine. People voted for a face, not his policies.

Hopefully, the revolt will include the electoral defeat of Meghan’s pop in short order.

This fricking idiot is doing nothing but giving the Left cover and throwing a lifeline to Obamacare. Palin needs to write him a letter or something.

I for one don't think a peaceful revolt will work.

He's blowing smoke up the crowd's ass.

He still thinks that he and the other politicians can do whatever they want to us. He is on the same side as Obama and they all want to grow the government until there's nowhere else to go for food, cars, health care, education, etc.

Time will tell if there is real revolution in the air, but if there is, John McCain will be sitting right beside Barrack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Arlen Specter, etc. on the unemployment line.

How long will it stay peaceful?

It depends primarily on how long the unemployment lines get, and when the benefits run out.

But that is not the only flashpoint - 0bama's arrogance and ignorance have seen to that!

You respect him for this comment, too?

http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2009/08/23/McCain-Kennedy-is-missed-on-healthcare/UPI-52821251062864/

Speaking Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” McCain, the 2008 Republican presidential nominee, said Kennedy, who has been absent because of ill health, could have made a big difference in the tortuous process of trying to find a bipartisan compromise on healthcare.

Kennedy’s absence has made a “huge, huge difference” in the Senate, McCain said. “No person in that institution is indispensable, but Ted Kennedy comes as close to being indispensable as any individual I’ve ever known in the Senate, because he had a unique way of sitting down with the parties at a table and making the right concessions, which really are the essence of successful negotiations.”

Won’t the RATs simply extend unemployment benefits like they always do?
