Good Morning :)
I hope everyone is doing well. I keep peeking in to see all your wonderful posts, but haven't had an opportunity to say, Hi :). We are school shopping and very busy with other errands this week. The weather is terrific.

I know. :(

The reason I corrected it was mostly because he is only 35 years old - pretty young by any standard to 'retire'. :)

Polly, the orange moon is eerily beautiful - have never seen it look like that before either. NBC Today Show had Al Roker in Los Angeles this morning, and they showed the fires (125,000 acres now?) and how close they were to so many homes. They did say that the high humidity and low(er) temps were a plus in helping the firefighters contain some of the blazes.

Patience means awaiting God’s time without doubting God’s love.

Thank you for another thoughtful ODB post, Rus. I often have a really hard time with patience.

35? Yikes!

The policies of this mess we call government did it to me and I’m 62. I got so incensed about the thing I’m starting my own business! Hell, I’d rather work for me anyway.

Tell’m to consider doing something on his own, he’ll owe no one but himself and to hell with the employer who wants to streamline him out of a job again.

At the rate things are going, there will only be those who own businesses and those who work for them (at considerably less money then today!) Might as well be an owner instead of an employee anyway.

I'll be down on Cape Cod for a couple of days and will probably be without internet connection. The weather is too beautiful not to take advantage of it.

Johnn, it looks like you missed the post that I was correcting, which was the more important one. I wanted everyone to hear him sing. :)

A Mother Giraffe’s Baby-Kiss!

  This is your mother’s kiss, my child!
Don’t you worry: things will be fine;
Just eat and sleep and play awhile.

You’ve had your birth on lovely earth;
You’ll take your time to grow up tall;
Soon you’ll become a long-necked beast!

Wait till your legs get strength to stand;
Wait till your bones can make you walk;
Wait till your mouth reaches tree-leaves!

And when you’re tall as your mother,
And children look at you in awe,
You will feel truly, very great!

This is your mother’s kiss of love;
This is your mother’s kiss of pride;
For when you match her neck and stride,
You must bend low too, from above!

Dr John Celes

” ...Our Lord Jesus has set an example of how to run life’s marathon. The Bible tells us that Jesus “for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Heb. 12:2). Despite “hostility from sinners,” He completed His race (v.3)... “
