Iowa – H1N1 Deaths Understated, Finding Hemorrhagic Lungs
National Terror Alert ^ | November 22, 2009 | Homeland Security NTARC News

Posted on 11/23/2009 8:40:17 AM PST by The Comedian

Is this cause for concern? I’m not sure, perhaps it’s common in severe cases of H1N1 that have progressed into a severe pneumonia. We attempted to contact the Polk County Medical Examiner on Sunday and were told to call back on Monday.

Iowa has officially recorded 21 H1N1 deaths, including seven in Polk County alone. But the county’s medical examiner said he has performed autopsies on some residents who were never diagnosed with H1N1, but actually had it.

“In the autopsy, what we’re seeing is very heavy, wet hemorrhagic lungs, lungs with a lot of blood in them,” said Dr. Gregory Schmunk.

He said the official count of seven H1N1 deaths is inaccurate, but patient rights laws prohibit him from giving specific numbers.

Looks like Captain Trips has made the jump from the Ukraine to the Homeland. Vitamin D3, garlic, 2 grams of Vitamin C, and histamine blockers, everyone.

Our Illinois family has had a now three-week hacking (occasionally severe, e.g., set off when going out in the cold) cough that seems to be from an irritation (tickle?) in the lungs. Mucinex DM didn't seem to do much for it. No evidence of blood (yet (?)).

Try adding a 500 ml bottle of hydrogen peroxide to the water in a room size humidifier reservoir and run it 24 hours a day. Hydrogen Peroxide kills bacteria and germs by the bushel and breathing in the vapor containing H-P won’t hurt you a bit, but it WILL help loosen up congestion both in the lungs and sinus.

doc diagnosed me with flu - brochitis cough at first - now deep dry with some yellow mucus + lethargy and mild fever. Xrays were clean. Slight fever, no headache, nausea, closed sinuses, or abdominal issues....Honey lemon tea helps.......If its a flu - It sure acts like a chest infection

Cold air stimulus causing a ‘tickle’ sounds like asthma (to me...an asthmatic). The ‘tickle’ is a ‘bronchospasm’ that can be erradicated with a ‘rescue inhaler.’

Honest. I ignored my symptoms for years (always had a lingering cough after a simple cold). But a profound ‘bronchospasm’ landed me in the ER (fortunately it was only asthma).

Suggest seeing a doctor.

Much of what’s not being said is the co-occurance of bacterial infections with H1N1 such as MRSA that are causing deaths.

Initially diagnosed as “walking pneumonia”, I have gone through 4 different antibiotics, a chest & sinus x-ray, and a CT Scan in the past 3 months. I have a throat scope coming up the first week of December (very cool stuff, apparently they go in through the nose).

No fever, no nausea, no other flu-like symptoms, just annoying feeling in my throat/chest and persistent dry coughing.

Years ago I had a rather severe asthma-like condition. The coughing was awful It wouldn't stop

I spent big bucks going to doctors. They tried their best but nothing worked.

It was then I decided I was going to have to try to fix it myself. I started blending ACV, with honey and garlic with some ice and sipping it.

No doctor wants to hear it, but it worked.

I had H1N1 three weeks ago and so did my daughter. We both thought we just had a cold. I had three days of fever and one day of a runny nose and very little cough. I stayed home from work so I would not spread it but I have had head colds that were much worse. My wife who is a MLT tested me when I got a fever and I tested positive for type A. I think this is being way blown out.

Is that a recipe for salad dressing?

I’ve been wondering about htis for awhile now- even folks who survive the flu (that has turned into pneumonia), one has to wonder if they are goign to have permanent lung damage fro mt his particular flu- Early reports showed that autopsied lungs showed massive damage similar to the lungs of htose who died fro mthe bird flu (This was back in June I read this), and I wodnered then if young folks aren’t goign to have permanent lung problems as a result of this flu

I haven't heard of that one... I will keep that in mind, thanks!

I find that 1/4 tsp. of cayenne pepper in water 3x/day for a couple of days also helps to loosen congestion if you can stand it. I also like the herb mullein for the lungs.

I found that this natural interferon booster works excellent as well. DD (teen) came home with from school H1N1 symptoms and giving her extra, we had it under control in about 24 hours.

That's an outstanding idea that I've never come across before. I am convinced of the multi-faceted value of HP, but this is a new application.

Brilliant, much thanks.

I give.

What is ACV?

The honey, garlic and ice part I got, but it does not sound like it is very tasty.
