One of the greatest football seasons in University of Cincinnati history may end on a sour note.

Reporter Sean O'Shea writes that a well-informed person says that Kelly is expected to sign a deal soon. UC (11-0) plays at Pittsburgh on Saturday, with the winner claiming the Big East Conference championship and a spot in a BCS bowl game.

Well, not explicitly. But shock has been exhibited at a post that can only be described as "dissenting." Well, dissenting and gratuitous, I'll admit.
It won’t be easy following in the footsteps of Pear Bryant.
Cincinnati doesn’t have that kind of cash. If anything part of a package to keep him their at Cincinnati would include facility upgrades, as well as a raise(which would definitely not be too five million a year which would eclipse every college coach in any sport)

Cincinnati isn’t going to pay anyone $5 million to coach. That’s quite a bit more that Urban Meyer, Nick Saban or Pete Carroll.
He may get a big raise, but not too $5 million.
I don’t buy it. ESPN says nothing.
