Good Evening Jaycee...
Of course the doctor wanted a immediate mammogram, so that will be scheduled next week. He did give me hope in saying that although he wanted to “ watch” the lump uner my arm , he wasn’t overly alarmed. I will need to see a Urologist now for the recurring UTI’s!

Today has been a long day and I haven’t even read through the posts ...but tomorrow I will have my morning coffee and enjoy “ Amy’s Place”!

LOL Sounds high maintenance! I told hubby I didn’t want any more dogs when these go.... But...I say that every time we lose one, and I always eventually give in. Sigh Can’t stand to lose them, can’t stand to live without them. I blame it all on my daddy! He’s the same way!

Behind The Parted Curtain
Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” —Luke 23:43

Pastor and author Erwin Lutzer wrote: “One minute after you slip behind the parted curtain, you will either be enjoying a personal welcome from Christ or catching your first glimpse of gloom as you have never known it. Either way, your future will be irrevocably fixed and eternally unchangeable.”

Luke recorded a short yet powerful narrative that pictures two men about to go behind that curtain of death. When Jesus was being crucified, two thieves hung alongside Him. According to Mark, both men hurled insults at Jesus (15:32).

One of the thieves, however, had a change of heart as he realized Jesus’ innocence, his own sin, and his destiny. He rebuked the other thief and asked Jesus to remember him when He came into His kingdom. These words were a sign of repentance and simple faith. Jesus responded, “I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise” (Luke 23:43). Salvation for the man was immediate. He knew that day where he would spend eternity.

Realizing that we are sinners and placing our trust in Jesus’ death and resurrection assures us that we can immediately know where we will spend our eternal tomorrows when we slip behind the parted curtain.

Oh, why not turn while yet you may;
Too late, it soon will be—
A glorious life you may possess
Throughout eternity. —Anon.

To prepare for tomorrow, trust Jesus today.

I know what you mean - my Lindy is 13, and having health problems. As much as I love dogs (and her), I don’t think I will get another one.

The only “no maintenance” dog I can think of is a stuffed animal. Of course they don’t love ya back. SNIFFF!

Oh Polly, you’ve had a very rough week, haven’t you? Bless your heart. Of course, prayers will continue for you, your Mel and whole family.

I have a friend who had recurring UTI’s, and she started taking cranberry capsules. She said it really helped her. Just passing on her info.

Please keep us updated, and enjoy your coffee this morning! HUGS!!

I missed your post yesterday. You must be having dental problems. Hope you are better by now and didn’t have to go back to the surgeon (after hours) as you said. Take care of yourself, Quix!

My oldest rat terrorist is a freak about storms/loud noises.
This morning it was sleeting/raining. I let her out, stayed right there, but it didn’t do any good. She totally freaked, wouldn’t come back inside. Here’s this stupid—and I really mean stupid this time!—mutt sitting in the middle of my yard in the pouring rain, tail wrapped around her legs, head down, shivering. Every time I try to get her, she jumps up and runs like I’m Freddy Krueger and she’s my next victim. This goes on for about 20 mins. I finally started my car—had to go to work. Sometimes she’ll fall for “Wanna go for a ride?” NOt this morning. I chased her around the yard. Again. Several times. I finally told her, “I’ve got to go. Stay out here and freeze.” Got in the truck and headed down the drive. We have a very long driveway. Get to the road, and there she is, right beside my truck. I opened the door and tried to get her in. NO go. I drove all the way back to the house where we started all over again. I finally threw something at her and yelled, “I hope you freeze to death!” At which point she ran into the woods and I came to work. Called my daughter a little later, b/c I really don’t want anything to happen to the stupid mutt, but I was furious. Yep. Stupid dog came in for her, acting like it was all my fault—I wouldn’t let her in and deliberately left her out in the rain and cold.

If I didn’t know better, I’d swear she’d been abused. I’ve had Darcy since she was 4 or 5 weeks old, and no one has ever raised a hand to her. Shaking head.

Meanwhile—I’m at work, and I can guarantee you she is curled up in the middle of my queen size bed—under the covers!

We didn’t get a flake—only sleet early and then rain. And more rain. And more rain. And it’s still raining. :(

JC, I just heard on FNC that TN has been declared a State of Emergency. You stay inside, warm and safe, y’hear?

(They also said Memphis had 10” of snow.)
