I made it with a leftover Smithfield ham bone last year, with leftover ham and smoked sausage this year.

It’s 35 right now..back to winter..I hate cold weather!

I make mine with a pound of ground sausage fried with an onion, drain that and put beans and sausage in the slowcooker. Let it go all day. Nummies!

I use ham in the green baby limas. :)

I do them the same way—in the slow cooker. I use spiral cut ends and pieces. Our local grocery has a big pack for not much money. Good for seasoning lots of things! :)

Oooops, again.

I forgot to answer your post. We really won’t get a chihuahua. We have had large dogs for years and they are our preference but they are getting too hard to handle. They want to play and they knock hubby and me down. Marissa loves big dogs.

We will probably get a medium size but not sure what breed yet.

My Mom had a chihuahua; talk about a spoiled, bossy little guy. Had to love him, tho. He was so much company for my mother. She was deaf and he alerted her to dangers many times. Once her electric blanket started smoking and he woke her. Another time, there was someone snooping. She turned the yard light on and saw someone take off.
