Partially — the family name got her into Disney, which did a teeny-bopper show called Hanna Rosanadannamandana about a girl who is a “normal” kid by day and a pop star at night.
13 year old girls all over the country lived their lives vicariously through this. The “music” was bland and corporate. Somehow Miley thought that many years of singing crap means that crap is now “good.”
