I knew a guy who was named Dick Hartigan

He said as he got older it got more difficult to live up to that name.

Of course he had it a bit better than the boss I had at my part time job while I was in high school. That was a man named Richard Hedd.

BTW, I have business cards from people I've done business with over 30 years including George Washington, John Adams, James Madison, Woodrow Wilson, John Kennedy, Ronald Regan (so close)Lawrence Taylor and Fred Rogers. I actually introduced Ron Regan to Woodrow Wilson

In high school I knew a guy whose family name was Appel - pronounced "Uh-pel," and whose older sister was named Candi (with the "-i"); needless to say, she got a lot of grief for that.

Hmm, probably a different guy. He’d be in his late 60s now, btw.

I know a guy named Clip Klopp. Not really, his last name is Klopp, I call him Clip.

There was a story here a little while ago about a female jail guard who had a male inmate dance for her. Her name was something like Jerkeitha. The black community has excelled in the goofy name department.

When my dad was in the Air Force an Airman with the last name Duck married a woman named Donna. People who called them the first time thought the couple was pulling their leg when Donna Duck answered the phone.

I was leaving the Air Force but almost stayed in just to meet an airman who was going to be assigned to me, Shirad Dicksheet.

Knew a guy who had the last name Newcomer. When he was in the Air Force admin constantly scheduled him for the newcomer's briefing, something only required once when you arrive at a new base.

I don't see the name HaLarious, but I'm sure that was just an oversight.

Hal Linden of Barney Miller fame has a real name of Harold Lipshitz.

I went to college with a girl named Karen Buttstrap.

Back in the late 60’s my father was a sergeant with the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office in southern Arizona and had a deputy under him that was named Forest Lilly.
