You’d be more likely to expect the pit bull to protect you than to have to be shot.

One of my neighbours' dog was recently mauled by a pit bull owned by some dink on the next street over. They were walking their dog, in the street, not on the pit bull's owner's property. It got off the chain and attacked.

My property is a pit bull free zone. With a family dog AND a 5-month old son who will sooner or later be walking, running, and playing in the back yard, if I see a pit bull moving target on my property, it gets a round put into it.

If people knew how many pits Ive put down out in the county, their heads would explode. If they aren’t on a leash or in a yard, I use my suppressed camp carbine to put them down....I’d do the same if I saw a rattlesnake in an urban area.

Well of course! Because if other dogs attack and kill people then pit bulls are just as safe as any other dog... right up until the statistics are reviewed, that is.
