I give the first 2 hours of Avatar a B for beautiful imagery and an interesting (though cliche ridden) story.

The last 40 minutes were sheer torture. I expected those nasty little Ewoks from Star Wars to show up in the battle scenes. And where had the monsters been? Show up in first 15 minutes of the movie and then disappear only to return to fight for the natives and the green planet.
