Good morning everybody!!! It feels sooo strange not to be flying somewhere....

Fox Business Network won a FOIA case the other day that has very deep ramifications for the Fed: They won a suit asking to see all parties that got TARP/bailout/stimulus money. Maybe now we'll see an audit of the Fed (don't hold your breath).

Didja also see that, unlike 1994, whern the generic GOP vs. Dem polling never showed the GOP ahead until the day of the election, that generic polling now has GOP up by something like 10 points? And it's been that way since last June?

I read something the other day that was interesting: Why all the reckless spending? Do the Dems want to wreck the economy?

Short answer is: Yes, if that's what it takes to make huge tax increases and a VAT tax permanent. If they get their hands on energy, it will be like a kid who crimps the garden hose while somebody tries to use it. And cheap energy (relative to the world, that is) is all we got left in the way of competetiveness vs. the world anymore, except for the fact that Americans are willing to work overtime to achieve the productivity gains.

But with all the taxes and energy restrictions, who is going to want to put in the hours anymore?

(Another thing: Cap n' Trade is nothing more than a combination VAT/Windfall Profits Tax -- remember that one? -- much worse than either alone)

The only wrong move the gov't. hasn't made is to raise interest rates a la Jimmah Carter. But I think that is coming in 2011 (along with accel. currency inflation).

Hope we can reverse this mess in time...

Here's another interesting question that wades into an area that just frustrates me: Religion.

Some dope on Facebook the other day said basically that following Jesus' teachings commands us to all be good little communists/collectivists/socialists and to build gov't. a la Nobama -- because it 'helps the poorest among us'.

This is of a piece with the lefty Protestant bishops and ministers and the goobers at the World Council of Churches -- the same gang that sent Elian G. back to Fidel in Cuba in a jet they chartered.

America gives more to charity, via churches and charities, more than any country in the world. Voluntarily. Basically these people are saying that that isn't enough, and that the gov't. has to mandate taking whatever % it wants from you in order to 'follow Jesus.'

A bigger perversion of Christianity I cannot imagine, especially seeing that everywhere socialism exists, it is by all counts Godless (esp. Europe, where the churches are all empty and the states are all de facto secular and going dhimmi to the Muslim minorities at an alarming rate).

The frustration is that the stance these people take is: I follow Jesus, YOU are evil if you oppose the politics.

How do fight that kind of special, Olympic-class, world-record-beating idiocy??? If people are voting on that basis, then the masses truly are a$$e$...;-))

Breakfast looks great. Just wanted to say Hello to everyone.

Our state’s AG has joined the lawsuit over the democratic idiocy much to the dismay of the governor Gregoire. She’s requesting he assign her an attorney to represent her opposition.

Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst. You all take care.

Jesus never once said that we should be foolish and tear ourselves down under the illusion that it would help somebody else. That poster on FB obviously doesn’t read the bible.

hello everybody

I made a huge potato salad for tomorrow’s Heart of Texas gold tournament on our course. I think it’s enough to feed an army. (a small army)

I heard the muslim signed that blasphemous bill this a.m.

After making the salad, I planted some succulents in a huge round something, it’s about 24 inches in diameter so I put in all kinds of sedum and hens and chicks. The center is free of plants, I’ll cover all the exposed soil with pea gravel and add an outhouse, some horses, a horse being shoed, a dog against a plant doing his thing, and some cowboys. It’s going to be just outside the patio. I might add a bird house. Maybe a bird will take up residence in it.

It seems he’s been spending an awful lot of time visiting universities lately. All liberal, of course so he won’t get booed.

“daily devotional/graphic email”...

Glad you like it - I kinda roped you in on it without even thinking, or asking.

Good morning. Fishing will commence in early May.

Thanks for the suggestion. In a blinding blizzard right now. Not helping with my frustration and anger and helplessness over Hussein and the unending gloating he is doing.

It’s going to be a looong time until November.

I’m glad you’re not fishing in a blizzard. Sheesh! It’s spring! Blizzards ought to be a horrible memory by now.

Don’t watch the TV. Or listen to any news. I suspect a lot of us are doing just that for our own sanity.

Me? I’m trying to figure out how to travel w/o any cash or money. HA! I don’t think I can do it.
