I know that this article has already been posted but this posting puts a interesting strategic twist on it.
The way many have read page 158 of the legislation leads the reader to believe that congressional staff are exempted from bamacare.
"(II) CONGRESSIONAL STAFF- The term 'congressional staff' means all full-time and part-time employees employed by the official office of a Member of Congress, whether in Washington, D.C. or outside of Washington, D.C."
This mean that each of our Republican Senators and Republican Representatives can claim us as their "congressional staff" which means that we would be exempt from bamacare.
Maybe our Republican Senators and Republican Representatives would need to pay each of us $1 per year to make our "part-time employee" status legal.
This would overburden bamacare with the millions of legally exempt people that it would create.
Kinda like using Alinsky's overburdening rule to beat them at their own game.
Maybe each of us should call our Republican Senators or Republican Representatives and ask to become a member of their part-time congressional staff residing outside of Washington D.C.

Interesting, but how are us “exempt” people going to get healthcare after they drive the doctors away and put the insurance companies out of business?

Not legal. There are rules on number of staff and payroll for each member. Phantom staff would be illegal, especially if the purpose is to dodge the law (although the law is unconstitutional on other grounds).
I hope ‘BamaCare’ doesn’t catch on. ‘0bamaCare’ doesn’t besmirch the finest football team in the country.

Frankly, I don’t think ANY government worker should be able to be exempted.
The way I read it, the congressional staff IS included in the Obmacare. Only leadership staff is not. Am I wrong here?

Some may think this a bit whacko, but apparently some 63 million Americans don't file taxes (myself included). An average of 3-4000 a year are cited, and of the nearly half that go to trial beat the IRS if they insist on a jury trial. Of course, that was then (last decade) and this is now.....
How exactly does this bill exempt members of Congress (and their staffs) from the program(s) created by the bill? The provision you are quoting states that “the only health plans that the Federal Government may make available to Members of Congress and congressional staff with respect to their service as a Member of Congress or congressional staff shall be health plans that are” created under the plan or are part of the health insurance exchange that is created by the plan. By my reading, this provision does precisely the opposite of what you’re saying - it prohibits the Federal Government from giving Members of Congress (and their staffs) anything that is not available to everyone else.

I think you are correct. All this does is say congressional staff has to buy into it as well. The only question is whether senior level staff are exempt.
