Simple question. Do you trust CNN as a reliable source for information

Posted on 03/27/2010 11:50:22 AM PDT by A Cyrenian

I'll be up front with you, I don't. I don't trust their judgment in providing accurate information on what is considered news.

But, do you trust Money Magazine, which I think are the same folks as http://money.cnn.com/.

What about CNN's information on sciences? Is CNN a reliable source on bring news about the sciences? I don't watch the channel so I can't say.

I'm most curious if you think Money Magazine is worth a subscription. Or do you think of the magazine the same way you think of the channel?

No, I’d sooner trust an AIDS-infected hooker who tells me she’s a virgin though..

No doubt it's great if one wants to hear the Democrat talking points of the day.

Well said. Fox is dreadful pablum and is indistinguishable from the rest of the libs, with a few departures here and there. I scream at their top of the hour radio news like everyone else’s. They use the exact same canards and frame things the same way as CNN.

NO.

They can cover international events for awhile until they all fall over themselves trying to interview the dying man lying on the street in front of them. Then they go to pieces. Of course, no one, not even a cameraman, appears to give him food, water or a damp cloth on his forehead.

When I am in the VA hospital,in the waiting lounge, there are six televisions placed at various angles with nothing but CNN on.
So ,one day I had enough and went outside for a cigarette and a woman started to admonish me on the hazards of smoking.
I replied,it can not be any worse than the extreme rise in my blood pressure or the mental distress I endure watching a propaganda show.
She went her way and i went mine.
I have been in six Va hospitals and all show the same channel.
I wonder why.

No. Take the recent coverage of the Pope and the Catholic Church. As a well informed Catholic I know they intentionally paint a biased picture of lies by the guests they choose to supposedly represent the Catholic view and the relevant ‘facts’ they choose to discuss or omit...
