I'm watching the Washington Nationals Season Opener and enjoying the pregame ceremonies which are topped off by the President throwing out the first ball. Well, first they showed video of former Presidents throwing out the first pitch and when they got to G.W. Bush there was a huge cheer! Even better when Obama was announced and all through his appearance the boos were loud and non stop!
Stalin would never have put up with it.
It depends on what you were watching. When I saw it on You Tube it was very hard to hear the boo’s...live on MASN the boo’s were huge!

Did ANYONE else notice the guy in the stands behind the mascot? Did he keep his back turned during the opening pitch? Sure looks like it...

I thought softballs were pitched underhand. The best pitchers can zing them in as if they were thrown overhand, but I’ve also seen high-arcing tosses that are hell for batters to judge well enough to hit reliably.
