Kass made an appearance on an episode of "Top Chef: DC" to talk about healthy school lunches. The episode aired a few weeks ago.
All hail the new US Granola Czar!
What I want to know is this: Who’s going to made the Czar of Things in General? Man, that sounds like a great gig. Perhaps one of The White House gardners will land that one?
$10B to revise a policy that's working?
Just what we need the FOOD CZAR!!! Somehow I’m guessing we won’t be getting Kobe beef and organic arugula like Barry gets. Barry’s so tired of this guys cooking, he had to take Medvidiv out to Five Guys. You can’t make this Shiite up.
So, this is the guy who made Michelle and her girls fat?
(Michelle said her kids are fat - not me)
Here’s a great solution when you lust for hash-browns and have no taters;)
Crush some potato chips into pan (ridges are best) add a little water and vegetable oil. Heat until the water evaporates and the oil makes the chips crispy again.
Serve.
p.s. if that is politically incorrect substitute cooked-crackers for hash-browns.
I saw that episode. I’m a Top Chef fan but am less so this season, as BRAVO is apparently turning into a PR machine for the obamas.
Perhaps obesity will become less problematic as Americans will able to afford less food. Then we won’t even have to worry about the vegetable gardens, etc.
"prolly has one of those secret Muslim friendly recipes for pork ribs"
The government should NEVER be allowed to mandate what we may eat, and how much we are allowed to weigh!!!!
If they do mandate such things, we have totalitarianism!!!!
And the same goes for government control of the Internet, radio, TV, etc.
Of course, Kass will be expected to kick back a substantial amount of that salary as a re-election campaign donation.
The Obamamarxists have a price tag on every move they make.

Michelle and her younger daughter are getting fatter by the minute.

Kass was the Obamas’ personal chef who launched his home-cooking business, Inevitable Table, from his Pilsen residence, in 2007. He also volunteered last year as a chef at the Jane Addams Hull House Museum “Re-thinking Soup” project.
He is part of a University of Chicago network that takes in the Obamas and many of their close friends and associates — some, like Kass, who ended up in Washington.
Kass attended the U. of C. Lab School for high school and some of his elementary years. His father, Robert, a fifth-grade teacher at Lab, taught Malia Obama last year. His mother, Valentine, who lives in Alexandria, Va., is a science educator at the National Science Foundation who, while at the Museum of Science and Industry, was the director of Omnimax productions and programs.
White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett knows Robert Kass from her days when she served on the Lab School board. Susan Sher, Mrs. Obama’s chief of staff, is a past chairwoman of that board.
Karen Duncan, the wife of Education Secretary Arne Duncan, is a former Lab School athletic director who is now working with Kass on encouraging schools to serve healthy school lunches.
It is clearly time to bring back the “Amos and Andy Show,” so that we will know what our “Grand Potentate of the Universe” is really up to at the White House “Mystic Knights of the Sea Lodge.” Check and double check.
I guess that says it all.
Wonder if this little fellow is the one who keeps insisting that the Obamas eat ice cream all the time?
And blacks think the obamas can relate to being black in America. Then again, I’m sure black racist panthers like this because they all wish they had a white boy to order around.
Lets Move to ensure that all families have access to healthy, affordable food in their communities.
As part of the Presidents proposed FY 2011 budget, the Administration announced a new program the Healthy Food Financing Initiative — a partnership between the U.S. Departments of Treasury, Agriculture and Health and Human Services which will invest $400 million a year to provide innovative financing to bring grocery stores to underserved areas and help places such as convenience stores and bodegas carry healthier food options. Grants will also help bring farmers markets and fresh foods into underserved communities, boosting both family health and local economies. Through these initiatives and private sector engagement, the Administration will work to eliminate food deserts across the country within seven years.
This Spring, LetsMove.gov will unveil specialized tool kits and strategies to help increase access to healthy, affordable food in communities across the country
Are you in a “Food Desert”? MO wants to “help” you . . .
