Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston shocked the world when they announced they were engaged again. The on-again, off-again couple seemed happy despite Sarah Palin's obvious disapproval of their reunion. It's no surprise considering her future son-in-law has betrayed and bad-mouthed the Palin clan on numerous occasions. According to a Palin insider, Sarah has already threatened him if he ever messes with her family again.
"Levi did everything he could to destroy Sarah and her family. He has accused Sarah of being a bad mother, a bad wife and a bad leader. How can he walk back into their life like nothing happened? He should think again," a Palin insider tells me. "He may have won Bristol back, but he will never gain the trust of Sarah. She doesn't forgive and forget."
Sources tell me that the 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee is furious about her daughter's decision and thinks Bristol is making the biggest mistake of her life -- despite the fact that she and Todd eloped in 1988 without telling their parents. Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin
But it was ultimately Sarah who played grandma and comforted Bristol during her toughest times, while Johnston soaked up his fifteen minutes of fame by posing for Playgirl and hanging out with comedienne Kathy Griffin.
But it all comes back to politics. A Republican insider tells me Sarah is worried that her loose-lipped son-in-law will continue to ruin her political career and the public's perception of the Palin family.
"You can't control who your kids fall in love with, but Sarah wants this kid to go away. However, that doesn't look like it going to happen," the insider admits.
"So for the time being, Sarah is doing everything she can to protect her daughter and herself. And trust me, Levi has been warned. This isn't the sort of family you want to mess with twice."
Now I finally understand the affinity between McCain and Palin. They both have daughters who are as dumb as a bag of hammers.
That would be smart, and the Palins are smart people.
To cut Bristol some slack — she’s a very young girl, Levi is probably the first man in her life, and theoretically, you should be married to the father of your child. At this point, I don’t see what the Palins could do to prevent her decision, as bad as it is.
Prayers going up for Sarah and Todd. Bristol’s hormones are raging again. I pray the film covering her eyes is removed that she see levi Johnston for the evil youth he has shown himself to be.
Johnston’s lucky that he isn’t involved with Leah Ann Touhy’s daughter.

He got offered a BUNCH of money by hate-filled Leftists to help destroy Palin. He was used as a pawn in a much bigger game.
Now, the money and the adoration has dried up, and he’s realized he has to live with himself.

Here is her actual statement:

Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives.
“We pray that, as a couple, Bristol and Levi’s relationship matures into one that will allow Tripp to grow up graced with two loving parents in his life.”
I don’t know who wrote this — but if it was Sarah, this woman HAS to be our next President! It was diplomatic to the Nth degree — but the message and intent were UNmistakable. She and Todd don’t trust Levi as far as they can throw him. I think others who’ve already posted are right — Sarah has already looked into Levi’s eyes and said, “you EVER step away and hurt my daughter, my grandson or this family again, and I’ll make you hurt in ways you never knew there was to hurt...”
Bristol is 19. She is a bennefactor of her mother’s wealth. She is making money of her own now. And she misses her baby’s Daddy. She may even be afraid she’ll never find another man, because, hey, she’s got a baby AND a famous Mom who is HATED by more than half the world — and MOST people her age (in part BECAUSE or her baby Daddy, but I digress). So, when he steps back into her life, says the right words — she takes him back...
Dear Lord yes, he’s a trojan horse. One more turn at the trough. Grab a little of the high life at Mama Sarah’s expense, snuggle up with Bristol again, and when the spotlight finally passes a few years down the road (what? 8, 12 years maybe? After Sarah’s 2 terms?), divorce Bristol, write a “tell all,” and RE-tire!
One word of advice Levi. If that’s your plan, you might not EVER want to return to Alaska. In fact, you might want to go into hiding... The witness relocation program would be good...On second thought, if she’s the ofrmer President by that time, forget it. She’ll have friends in the CIA. You might want to rethink your plan. You won’t have time to enjoy “retirement.”

The “Clan from Wasilla” just keep on giving. Hopefully Bristol and Levi can get out from under the matriach and have a good life for them and Tripp.

That's eight months by my count. The Relief Society used to keep a calendar of all the newly weds and their first born. I haven't seen that kind of lowminded prudishness since the 1980's .

I’m always suspicious of what anonymous ‘insiders’ have to say. That being said, Sarah would be right to be cautious about this young man, and to be concerned that her daughter was making the right decision. Who knows? Maybe Levi HAS come to his senses; it happens sometimes with young men who thought the grass was greener on the other side, only to find out they were wrong.
Same situation with my niece only she didn't have kids. The jackass got her involved with coke, we tried a family intervention which didn't work and ultimately alienated her for a while. She went thru with the wedding without any family members including her own mother and dad.
She then put up with 15 years of his extreme mental abuse while the family had to put up with him too at family gatherings.
She blew a non-refundable deposit of $10,000 when she first decided to divorce him then went back with him.......
She's finally divorced now but its proof positive that you can't control who your kids eventually love.
As a side note, one of her high school friends who came from a famous family that owns a well known stereo manufacturing company was always infatuated with my niece.. He went away to college as a nice young dork and his family moved to Wisconsin I think.
A number of years later the "nice young dork" was in Detroit on business and my sister and their family had him stay with them a couple days while here. Well low and behold, that "nice young dork" turned into a big strapping handsome as heck prince charming who desperately wanted to begin a relationship with my niece but she only kept it cordial and her excuse to her parents were "John just isn't exciting".........Instead she married the dumbass dentist who treated her like crap from day one.
