Obviously he was trained by Jesuit asssassins and takes orders from the super computer in the Vatican secret vaults that has all the Protestant names. Still, it’s not proper to post pictures of our elite super-soldier agents. Given enough sun-screen lotion we will eliminate all who oppose us!!!

Freegards, beware the lack of pigmentation that strikes in the night!

Forum is a good name for it. The real Christians are the least rapacious, but they get eaten first.

I stay away as well - more heat than light there.

Best regards,

Seaman Anoreth is “in funds” as my Irish folks would say, because she’s been at sea five months and unable to shop. Even after ordering a new computer, from Best Buy, at Pearl Harbor, she’s still loaded (I get her bank statement). I may ask her to kick in for our electric bill! (just kidding).

And here in the US, she can’t drink beer for another 18 months ... but we might “accidentally” leave some available ... I mean, you can’t chain the refrigerator closed, or Social Services will bust you.

If you’d like to send her a welcome home card, though, I’ll FReepmail the USMail address if you don’t have it already. I’ve got yours in my book! Did I send you a picture of Frank?

That’s it? “Change the channel”?

RM, I was expecting so much more — a veritable cornucopia of a combination of withering Biblical and rhetorical invective that would leave the OP looking like the melted German dude in “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

I hang my head while I look for a hat rack...

Next time, I look for lightening from the fingertips...

;) :)

My problem isn’t so much with the “Catholic-centric” posts... it is the “Catholic Caucus” exclusive club that dominates the religion forum. This basically gives those who use that a free pass to post whatever they like without having anyone debate or question them.

I am probably one of the reasons posts started wearing the [ORTHODOX/CATHOLIC CAUCUS] badges that gives them immunity from questions (even legitimate and sincere).

I am thinking hard about posting something and using the [Reformed/Biblical Christianity] badge... but that would probably get me booted permanently from FR...

IMhO

IT’S ALL FITTING IN THE RELIGION FORUM.

NOT in the NEWS section . . . though arguably, some MAJOR religious news about any group COULD be newsworthy.

It MIGHT be fitting to just arbitrarily relegate ALL religious stuff to the RELIGION FORUM given that one can bet NONE of the RC’s are going to curtail their onslaught efforts to turn FR into a totally directly Vatican ran arm of the Vatican. THAT gets annoying.

And the arrogance that goes with it is CERTAINLY annoying.

However, the RM does a great job.

And, there’s no way to have a CONSERVATIVE forum—which would be MOSTLY CHRISTIANS & LDS by far . . . without a religion forum—otherwise, the whole forum would be inundated with religious talk because conservatives ARE A RELIGIOUS PEOPLE. Understandably.

So, I don’t see much change in the offing unless things are totally relegated to the Religion Forum. And, I doubt that’s going to happen either.

So, we make do. We scroll by the religion threads we are not interested in and hold forth on those we are and assume other folks have working page down keys, too.

Yes, the onslaught of blasphemous/idolatrous stuff with a Roman Catholic flare gets outrageously sickeningly dreary to us Proddys. So what. That’s what freedom of fitting expression is all about.

I DO APPRECIATE YOUR CANDOR. IT’S REFRESHING TO SEE A ROMAN CATHOLIC WITH SUCH INTEGRITY AND CANDOR. IMPRESSIVE. THANKS.

BTW, all my kids say “the quick and the dead” in the Apostles’ Creed, because that’s how I learned it from OldTax-lady and the Presbyterian chaplain at NAS Corpus Christi, circa 1976. There’s probably a certificate somewhere with his name, because my brother and I were confirmed there, but all I remember is that his nickname was “Chaplain Stick,” because he was very tall and thin. He was a high-functioning alcoholic and a veteran of several Vietnam tours and long-term sea deployments. His sermons were light on Calvinism and heavy on sea stories.

Pavarotti! Magnifico! I do know a Calvinist who can sing and smile at the same time, though. Really I do. So there you go.

I don’t think it’s possible to have a

CONSERVATIVE FORUM

WHERE 90??% OF CONSERVATIVES ARE QUITE RELIGIOUS/SPIRITUAL—AS CHRISTIANS OR LDS . . .

WITHOUT THE RELIGIOUS COMMENTS FLOODING THE FORUM UNLESS RELEGATED TO A RELIGION FORUM.

WE ARE

RELIGIOUS—THAT IS WHO MOST CONSERVATIVES ARE.

EVERYTHING IS FILTERED THROUGH THAT CHRISTIAN COSMOLOGY AND PERSPECTIVE.

EVERYTHING—INCLUDING AND PARTICULARLY POLITICS.

I’m a firm believer in regular washing *and* deodorant, because you just never know when you’ll be meeting an Admiral, as my mom used to say.

“Nice to meet you, Admiral. Tell me about your ship ...” I met Hyman Rickover. Dang, he was short - like me! And old President Bush, when he was Vice President.

I totally, totalistically, totalitarianistically agree. I couldn’t’a said it better myself. Without a little alcoholic augmentation.

I agree. I see a lot of catholic posts. I usually don’t read them, but I think if someone new is perusing the site, looking for a good conservative new site, and sees the catholic stuff, they may look elsewhere.

“As far as I’m concerned, the best time in the history of the world was when Catholics were regularly fed to the lions.”

Error!

That wasn’t Catholics, it was Christians, centuries before there were Catholics.

Oh, do, DO send the US Mail address! And the picture of Frank! Add exclamation points as needed, like parsley.
