Please pray for the family of a 1-month-old baby who died yesterday from apparent SIDS. This child was my son's nephew by marriage, and the baby and his single mother (my son's sister-in-law) were living with my son and his wife; thus, they had become very attached to the baby. It was the first grandchild on both sides of the family and everyone is devastated.
Since I don't think the mother's family is particularly religious, I need help storming Heaven with prayers for strength and comfort for all involved.
This is my first prayer request, but I know I can count on the prayers of fellow Freepers!

Please don’t take this the wrong way. You & your family need to look inward to God. You will find all the peace you want and require. This is not the forum. On your knees praying to him will give you all that you want.

I am truly sorry to hear this. Prayers for the entire family and the young Mom. She will need the support of the families and may be gripped with unwarranted guilt (even though she did nothing wrong, you always question, "Why?").
We know our children are only ours for a little while, and God calls them home when He deems it, but that knowledge does not make the ache in our hearts any easier.
I have every confidence the Lord is holding that beautiful baby in His loving embrace, and I pray that He comforts all who loved the baby, as well.

Prayer for her as well. Then stand up and look after you’re own family, they need you too.
